A white line of fuzz appears across my flat screen TV

Hi, i have a Hitachi flat screen tv, and have had it for about 6 months. Everything was going fine until one day it made a loud popping noise, and then all of a sudden appears a white line of fuzz that appears on the top of the tv. Can anyone explain to me what might have happened, and is there any solutions to getting rid of this white fuzz? thank you for your response!

This is a problem with the optical block of the unit. If I were you I would give a call to their tech support ASAP. This is not something you can fix by flipping a buttons and it is gonna cost a fortune to replace it.

Hello

Sorry to hear about you TV. It sounds like a power surge or something could have blown on the board. This can happen for a number of reasons but I have frequent power spikes where I live and had something similar happen to me.

How good are you with Electronics?? Do you feel good about opening your TV?? one last thing..how old is your TV??

Thanks and I hope I can help you get this thing back to normal!

Green fuzz on screen

If the green fuzz is only seen sometimes, it may be a cable issue. Check your cables to see they are tight and perhaps even replace them if the issue persists. If this doesn't solve your problem, the TV may have technical problems beyond your ability to fix - sounds like power issues.

hi this might help you:

*search the invoice and contact your dealer/ place where you've bought it.
this may indicate a fabrical fault, i mean that electronically there's something wrong that either the screen isn't able to show the right pixels once in a while so to say, or that whatever creates the order to form the colors is damaged....

The screen will propably have to be replaced.

if this doesn't solve it i really wouldn't know what to do.
i've been selling tv's for 6 months and have seen customers with these problems.

greets and succes

Green horizontal lines across screen

try adjusting the green screen control. remove the front bottom panel of the tv by removing any screws holding it in place. gently pull of the front panel, there are gromets holding it in place, you will be able to gently remove the front, just make sure you get all those screws. now reove the small wodden or plastioc panel. now you will see the screen/focus assy. check to see of the screen controls are the top 3 or bottom 3. adjusted the center screen it's the green one, the other 2 are the red & blue. it is best to adjust in a dark room where the lines will show up easier. good luck
