I have a wireless modem installed in my Dell Inspiron 1545 and it stopped working two months ago. Is this because the connection with whomever I was getting it from has gotten off the internet? Or is it from something I have downloaded?

For your issue, I have few suggestion. 1. Try to reinstall the modem and re-configure the modem again. 2. Try to connect your modem to a different computer to check if it will work 3. If your plug-in modem had a sim card try it to your phone to check signal and network.
if problem persist my suggestion is to contact verizon.

If you purchased it new, you should be able to get the keyboard replaced under warranty. Dell's come with a minimum 1-year warranty. Give them a call and tell them the issue with the spacebar.

Is wireless turned on, Are there any wireless network detected, if yes are they connected, if yes then try with another website or try loading firefox browser. if no then try to connect it to the wireless network.

I would quickly return it under warranty

Your laptop may have a pre-defined Ip address locked in for your work connection. Did your buddy use the laptop at your place of employment, or was it used at his home? Sometimes an ip is entered manually in the tcp/ip menu locking it to a certain address. To check this opem metwork connections in control panel and right click your wireless device then choose properties and left click. Scroll to the TCP/IP line and go to properties. Make sure everything thereis set to automatic.

You MUST disable digital driver signing to install ANY driver.software on any 64 bit system. you MUST press F8 at boot up to install the driver, & then EVERY time you boot up you MUST press F8 to disable driver signing to USE it too, every time....

download wireless 365 bluetooth modem driver and install in ur dell insprion 1545 it will work

if it is under warranty please take it to the service center if you try doing anything by yourself that may damage the warranty and it may pinch your pocket,
