Question about Maytag Neptune MCE8000AY Electric Dryer
Hi. Your control panel/membrane assembly is not the issue here. That part is ok. The areas of concern will be the moisture sensor and logic board. The initial area or part will be the moisture sensor bar. Usually, this sensor will cause the exact same symptoms that you are experiencing at this time when the sensor fails. The main logic board cannot communicate with the sensor in this state, thus causing the logic sector to malfunction. i recommend to replace the moisture sensor, asap. This should correct the issue. The part number will be 33001809
