Assuming that you have a conventional toliet, what I mean is not a powered assist toliet. The problem occurs when the toilet bowl is refilling, the refill value gasket is vibrating as the water fills the bowl. This occurs when the rubber gasket ages and becomes hard. It can be fixed by replacing the gasket. Hope this helps.

Toilet pumps when not in use

sounds as though there may be a trickle of water going in to the pan from the cistern. To check you could turn OFF the water to the cistern, or tie the float arm up. then flsu the water in the cistern so that no more water will trickle in to the loo. Leave it a goodly time, several hours say, and monitor if it still runs for a few mins every hour. Actually running for two/three mins is rather a long time but first i would think you need to eliminate the possibility of the above steady trickle from the cistern.

My horn sounds off and won't stop 'til I disconnect battery cable. Why?

sounds like there's a short in your wiring in the steering column, A lot of times with a tilt wheel a wire get loose or gets a short in it. the steering wheel may have to come off to fix the problem but make sure to disconnect the airbag first, I'm not sure what vehicle you have so I don't know where to tell you to look for the connection, may be best to take to a dealership if possible. Hope this helps.

On my 1995 crown vic. one day horn blew on its own for about an hour. i looked and fuse was blown now when i put new fuse in and hit horn, horn sounds for second and fuse blows. everytime i put fuse i

Sounds l;ike the horn itself has a short. Try another from a salvage yard. If fuse blows again, it's likely a wire to horn that lost insulation and touching metal.
Good luck.

What do I do to stop water from leaking from the tank, it refills itself several times, day or night? The toilet looks like a Sedona, although the shape of the tank differs a bit, the width is the same,...

Sounds like something in the floating device is bad so it doesn't shut off when filled. We just replaced our flush valve on ours because the toilet keep running.

Horn blows randomly when closing doors

Horns have constant power all the time so when you press the horn button, all you are doing is grounding the circuit and that makes the horn blow. Usually what happens is that a spring breaks underneath where the horn button is or something allows the horn button to ground out somewhere, possibly even through the inside of the steering column.

04 CooperS: Horn does not work

Check the fuse first. should be in the drivers footwell. Make sure that it is not blown. 90% of the time fuse will just blow due to high resistance from one of the horns. There is a high and low horn often it requires to replace one and try the horn and see if it blows. Then replace the horn that blows the fuse.

Horn stopped blowing

Sounds like you may have corroded terminals on the horn itself.

Find the horn in the engine compartment - remove the wire connected to it - clean the spade terminal with some sand paper and push the terminal back on. If that doesn't work you may need to remove the horn from the car and clean up the earth connection, i.e. where the horn is attached to the body work of the car to get a good electrical contact.
