Rmove the battery and black plastic piece under the seat, this will give you access to the shifter switch, make sure that both of the connectors are connected

If it runs only in slow speed your hi/lo speed switch is bad. Cheapest I've found is at tigerimports.com part#MEPU002 for $11.00 plus $2.00 shipping USP. Hope that helps.

2-wheel ATV 4-wheeler won't go forwards but will go in reverse

If this is an automatic 4-wheeler, the shifting fork will bend when shifting from fwd to rev. or vis-versa. because your not completely stopped when you change directions. (kids do this to mine so many times I am tired of changing the darn thing) The part costs appx $50. Looking at the old part you can't tell it's bent.... If it's a manual tranny then your linkage is worn and needs adjusted.

He has learned an expensive lesson on equipment abuse. Rolling backward "slammed" in forward ... probably broke a shaft somewhere. Just as '... there is no crying in baseball' ... there should be no 'slamming' of gears in driving.

My Polaris 24 volt power ride on toy when put in reverse would go forward. When shifted in drive would go in reverse. Now it does nothing. Can anyone help?

remove the rear tires, then pull out the gearboxes and motors and use a multimeter and see if you are getting any power to the motors, then post back the results

My Polaris 4 wheeler cut off when I put it in reverse. any ideas?

Almost sounds like the reverse limiter is bad. Try holding the override button in while putting the atv in reverse and see what happens. Depends on what year, the limiter might be inside the CDI box, not a separate part. Try that and if you have any questions let me know, Daniel.

Polaris 340 pool cleaner, will not reverse

A big problem with this cleaner is that the screws come loose with vibration. You'll have to disassemble the cleaner to get to the power module, once you have to power module out, remove the endcap and check the screws on the cams that engage the reverse drive mechanisms. The main problem is when the screws come loose, they won't fully engage the reverse drives and will sometimes cause the cleaner to stop while it should be reversing, then continue on forward mode. I guess the best advice I have is to make sure all the screws are tight, but not over-tight as you can pull the threaded inserts out of the plastic. 1dcd685.gif

When engine is running, you accel the motor and it does not have enough power to move the 4-wheeler

Try hitting the Reverse Override button, I have a similar problem and am in the process of finding what is actually wrong, but hitting the override at least gets me enough power to get it up my ramps and into my truck
