Hello, Welcome to Fixya.

There a several possible reasons your washer could have just "cut off" in the middle of a cycle and not drain, but are all different based on if it`s a frontload or topload.

But I first would like to varify if the unit is a topload or frontload. The model number provided ( 24622300 ) doesn`t come up on the "searspartsdirect.com" website, or several others I tried.

If you could either specify which it is and double check the model number that would be great.

I`ll wait for your reply and then I should be better equipped to help you by taking out the needless Q & A from there.

This washer is a topload. The serial # is CP3509724. It probably came with the house built in 2003.

After further research I found the model # uses 11024622300. I hope this helps. Thanks.

    Excellent,

Thank you, It sounds like a lid switch problem based on your description.

Here's a simple way to confirm the switch problem on most kenmore top load washer's but not all, hence the need for the model number...

Lift the lid, if you observe the underside of the lid there will be a plastic "strike" or "actuator" that goes into a hole when the lid is closed.

Check the hole where the actuator goes into the cabinet and insure you can see a gray oval shaped piece. If so take a small screw-driver, pen/pencil or something small enough to fit thru the small hole and try activating the switch by pushing it down ( machine must be in the agitate or spin cycle ). If you don't see it, the switch has likely broken loose and needs to be replaced.

If it start's to function than the switch is not being contacted properly by the actuator on the lid and likely is due to the switch being worn. Make sure it is being held in place via the two screws along the side, if they are loose tighten them, if it is broken, it will need to be replaced.

Here`s a helpful link for changing it out, http://videos.wittysparks.com/id/3098139...

The lid switch will look like this...

I'll watch for your reply to see what you find and if I can assist you further.

    good luck.

Clean light flashes continuously. None of the cycles work except drain.

Might help if you provide the model number of the dishwasher.

It is likely the float switch at base of dishwasher is cutting in. Have you tried to turn the power off and back on.

Need model no.

Kenmore model 119 24622300 Heavy duty 2 speed washing machine....The machine was in mid wash cycle and completely stopped. Although we have emptied the clothes and water out manually (it would not drain),...

the first three is 110 on your model number, not 119.lift the lid up around two inches and close it down,do this a few times,if you don't hear a clicking sound the lid switch is broken, part number 3949238.if that's ok when the washer is in spin does the motor run,if it does you broke the motor coupling, this is located behind the motor, let me know what you find and if you could answer the questions i asked i can help you out better

The machine fills up then will not compltete the

Assuming that this is a basic top load, direct drive, neutral drain machine, the following is the Whirlpool (Kenmore) installation and maintenance manual with a very good troubleshooting section.

The problem seems to point to either the timer or motor.

Kenmore washer 24622300. clothes are very wet after spin cycle

washer may not be spining at all start in rinse cycle allow washer to wash and advance through cycle on it's own do not advance manually..after agitation listen for short pause after pause pump out should begin after pump out should be another short pause then spin should start..if spin does not start after 2nd pause suspect transmission if lid is raised spin may start but if it doesn't start during normal operation bad gearcase one other ck possible look underneath for oil it may be getting on clutch causing clutch to slip and not allow to spin full speed
