Question about Flat Panel Televisions
I have an Element FLX-3202 32" LCD TV. I can get the VGA cable connection to work with my old (Dell Inspiron 4100) laptop, but not the newer laptops that we have. When I try the newer computers, the screen flickers and tries to connect, and at one point (with myMacbook) it said "not compatible." All I get is ablue screen and "no input" up in the corner. I triedfiddling with the resolution settings on the newer windows laptop, butnothing. I'm not finding much on-line because it's such a little-knownbrand. Any suggestions?
I want lcd tv with RGB/VGA input - output, video input - output, or any solution for that? output is very essential for me...

I have a Sony Vaio Laptop and tried connecting to my Panasonic TV using VGA cable, since the laptop doesnt have got an S-video port. The TV starts flickering everytime I connect my laptop. I tried all the resolution and refresh rate properties in laptop.
I connected successfully another laptop (HP) using S-video and it worked fine.
Please let me know if the problem is with my sony Laptop or the VGA cable. How can I make it work using the VGA cable?

The resolution and refresh rates have to match exactly to the TV for it to work correctly with the computer.
The newer computers are using much faster refresh rates by default. Their default resolution is also different.
Consult the manual for the TV and see if the computer's external monitor output can be set to match to what the TV exactly requires. Both the refresh rate and resolution are critical.
