Casio TE2000 till has E error message when pressing department keys how can I clear this?

I have an E come up on our till, the till is a Casio TE-2000,

Can anyone help what this means or ways of repairing this

    i have casio seg1 am using the manual to change the decimal point position but its give me E so what i have to do to change the decimal point position???????

    Hi the batteries that store the presets have run out. You will need to replace the batteries which are in the till roll compartment and re programme. To re programme simply

    turn key - pgm
    type 100 then dept01 then press sub total
    turn key to reg and the first preset (dept01) shall register £1.00
    repeat all dept keys with the required amounts and press sub total at the end.

Hi. we don't have this model. it is very old now. But, it is probably similar to some of ours, so I'll give you the usual info, and it will probably work.

The first thing to do is turn the key to each mode, and press your CASH key. If the drawer opens, then that was your problem.
If it doesn't, then try a flag clear:

Turn the power off at the wall.
Hold the RECEIPT FEED button down while turning the power back on at the wall.
Wait 5 seconds.
Let go of RECEIPT FEED.
You should see 'FFFFFFFFF' on the display.
press SUBTOTAL.
It should print out.
Turn the key back to Reg mode.

Don't worry, we can get to the bottom of your problem. I need to know a bit more about the problem. Are you saying that the wrong names and prices come up when you use the departments, or is it giving an error (if so, what name/ number is the error)? Please let me know as much as you can about the problem, and I'll get back to you.

Error e001


E001 error is the generic Wrong Mode error message on the Casio tills.

It simply means that a transaction was started in one mode without being finished before the key was turned to a different.

Return the key to the mode you were in before, complete the transaction then try turning the key.

If you keep getting the error turn the X and press SBTL.

Hi. I noticed you said you knew the Casio TE2000 cash register and hoped you could help me. I bought a second hand TE2000 with a manual and I want to clear the memory and change the trader name and message...


Turn key to Program mode2 SUBTOTAL
132 SUBTOTALNow type the characters for the first line of the receipt 00 (double zero button)CASH (maybe labelled CA/AT)232 SUBTOTALNow type characters for second line00CASH332 SUBTOTALNow type characters for third line00 CASH432 SUBTOTALNow type characters for fourth line00 CASHSUBTOTALTurn the key back to REG mode.
There is a good reason why they don't want you to clear the whole memory. You will lose country, tax, monetary settings plus lots of dealer settings. It is best to edit the old program to suit your new business. It will be much easier and quicker. To reset the report, turn to Z mode and press CASH. That will clear out the last daily report. The only thing you can't clear is the grand total. That is a security issue, so it always keeps adding, but you don't need it. Your other figures will be correct each day. Some machines allow you to turn the GT printing off if it annoys you.

Casio TE 4500f till register, trying to print Z report but it says error code 001 - wrong mode and will not allow me to clear. I have tried turning key back, even tried PGM key according to user manual...


You have turned the key before you finished in the previous mode. Turn the key until the mode error stops (not counting the off position). That is the mode you need to finish. Try pressing SUBTOTAL in this mode and then turn the key

I Have a Casio TE2000 Till and I need to change prices on the 24 buttons that are programmed already to different prices. However, to me the manual makes no sense and I can only change the first button...


to change the prices on the preset buttons.
1. turn key to PGM mode
2. press 1
3. press sub total button
4.enter price( no decimals req)
5.press relevant dept button
6.press sub total button
the new price will now be programmed in.

Problem with my sharp xe-a102cash register


Its most likley some one has put the wrong figues in at one stage and it has stored it and then when you used it it remembered it and then used it.
