The probably is because of worn or bad contacts in the receptacle that the element plugs into. On most electric ranges, you can remove the element by lifting it up several inches and firmly pulling it away from its attachment (receptacle). Read your owner's manual to learn the correct technique for your range. If, after removing the element, you see that the ends of the element that were plugged in are pitted, corroded, burned, scarred, or rusted, replace both the element and the receptacle.

Take care.

How to change lower element in DeLonghi Airstream Convectio Oven

  • How to change lower element in DeLonghi Airstream Convectio Oven??

  • Preheat ovens only when necessary. With conventional ovens, keep the preheating time to a minimum. Unless you're baking breads or pastries, you may not need to preheat the oven at all.
  • Food cooks more quickly and efficiently in ovens when air can circulate freely. Don't lay foils on racks. If possible, stagger pans on upper and lower racks to improve air flow.
  • Use glass or ceramic pans in ovens. You can turn down the temperature about 25°F and cook foods just as quickly.
  • Do not open the oven door often to preview the food. Each time you open the door the oven temperature drops by 25°F. Watch the clock or use a timer instead.
  • Full-size ovens are not very efficient for cooking small- to medium-sized meals, it generally pays to use toaster ovens or microwave ovens.
  • Check to be sure the oven door gasket is tight. Adjust or replace gaskets as required.
  • If you have a self-cleaning oven, consider using the self-cleaning feature immediately after regular baking when the oven is still hot. Less energy will be required to reach the cleaning temperature. Try not to use the self-cleaning feature too often.
  • Keep range-top burners and reflectors clean; they will reflect the heat better and save energy.
  • Match the size of the pan to the heating element; more heat will get to the pan and less will be lost to the surrounding air. A 6-inch pan on a 8-inch burner will waste over 40% of the energy.
  • On electric stove-tops, use only flat-bottomed pans that make full contact with the element. A warped or rounded pan will waste most of the heat.
  • When cooking with a gas range-top burner, use moderate flame settings to conserve gas. Also make sure the pilot light is burning efficiently, with a blue flame. A yellowish flame indicates an adjustment is needed because the gas is burning inefficiently.
  • Whenever possible, use a pressure cooker. By cooking food at a higher temperature and pressure, cooking time is reduced dramatically and energy use is cut by 50-75%.

Right side burner will not ignite. Pilot flame is on.

    Hello Paul;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You did not provide a model number or your range. This is located on a metal tag either on the face of the oven after you open the door, or on the side of the door.

Each burner probably has a individual flow control valve to adjust the flame. This is a low probably, but still could be the problem.

Let's assume you can light the bad burner with a match:

You either have individual spark ignitors at each burner, or a multi-spark module in the upper left top back of your range. This controls all 4 burners.

Go into the following website, put in your model number and find your individual burner ignitor or the spark module. Record the part number and going into the web and search the part. Do not purchase from Sears unless you want to pay 2 or 3 times the price. Also, consider used parts.

Water Filters Lawn Garden Appliance Parts

This is a easy fix if you have basic tools. Turn the gas supply off. Then turn on the burners to bleed the system from gas. Then kill the power to the range - circuit breaker or electrical cord before you begin the work.

    Hello mjama,

I understand that you are having a problem with your cook top sparking after cleaning. If you are talking about your burner/element sparking this is usually the case when the element is fixing to go out and needs to be replaced. However, if this is not what you are talking about please post make and model of your cook top and what is sparking.

    Thank you for choosing

Top burner is stuck on and F1 showed on the display

    Hi Krista,

Unfortunately, F1 is a fault code for a failed electronic control... it'll have to be replaced. The reason the burner is on is that the relay controlling it has welded closed allowing power to the burner full time.

If you choose to repair this yourself, could you provide the model number? That way, I could pull up schematics and stuff I need to further help you.

From the inside you will find the fan. This will have 1 set screw or 2 set screws on the inside of the shaft housing. If you can remove the fan the motor will be on the backside of the oven mounted outside the cooking box.

    Hole underneath back left burner?

It is your oven vent. It needs to be left open. There could be a calibration issue with your cooking times. Check the accuracy of your thermostat with an oven thermometer.
