Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Xerox Workstation Pro 2128 saying communication problem encountered and we have switch off and switch on again several times and still same problem & mesage appeared. Before that we have a drum cartridge A1 also which is empty as well as the transfer roller which is at 0. Will it after changing this it will work or not. Thank you to reply us urgently.

    Thankyou for your reply. We have ask the Xerox technician to come and fix it. But before on last Friday the Xerox technician came andthen said when using his laptop he culd not get access to the hard disk then he said that hard diskis faulty and he said also that the network controller has burned or not working. Reason why communication error.Then Xerox technician told us that we need to change an dit will cost us a lot of money. So then I ask my IT guy in the ofice to cross check and he connected his computer with the machine and he got access with the printer and saw that hard disk is working and that the network controller seems to be ok and through the connection on his computer he saw that the machine is giving error message saying Replace CRU and we found that Drm Cartridge A1 and Transfer Roller are inished and we think that maybe we need to replace these 2 consumables of maybe at first just to replace teh Drum Cartridge A1 to see if it works. We believe that Xerox technician was not clear about what was wrong and think that he gave us wrong advice. Now we stated this to the Xerox techinician this morning and he will come later on today bringing the Drum cartridge A1 to se and then check again with his laptop.

The screen states "close cover E" It is closed but the screen keeps saying " close cover E" ?


The Exit 2 interlock switch is either broken or off it's base or defective. If you open up the top door on left side of print, there is a push button switch that mounts on the back side. If you're standing on the left side of printer it's located on the top left. Make sure it's mounted properly and try to push the button with your finger and see if error goes away, if not replace switch, part number 110E11580.

I did contact the Xerox support center and they did suggest the following fix:
reboot the printre --> pres the following buttons --> powersave + red stop button + nr 6.
This should empty the print memory.
Dont forget to remove all the printer jobs on the client computers.

Xerox workcentre pro 40-communication problem encountered


Some connection is lose. One of the connectors to the main board may be loose. The communication it is taling about is the machine devices are not talking to the main board.
If you just purchased it you can call Xerox and they will send someone free of charge to fix it.
The number is 1-800-821-2797.
Does there happen to be a code coming up with the message? like an 03-888 ot 05-222?

Hello ! This problem often occurs after a physical power off for a certain period of time. If you haven't done so, reboot the system by powering Off then On, using the white power switch. If not resolved, unfortunately the only solution is for Xerox to service it with a specially set up notebook, which contains a "Tanker" service menu. Parts may be needed as well. Hope this helps.

Fault Code 15-362 - CAUTION: The Fuser Roll remains in a cammed-up position if power to the copier is interrupted while the copier is in use. The Fuser Roll will not be released from its position until the power is restored, the Power Switch is in the On position, and the Start button is pressed again. If the Fuser Roll remains in the cammed-up position for a prolonged period of time, copy quality defects will occur. To prevent damage to the Fuser Roll, switch the Power On as soon as possible after the power is restored, and make a copy of a document. If the machine is a DC 12LP send a print job from a workstation to prevent damage to the Fuser Roll.
