I have a a old Gibralco compressor when i cut it on it starts fine when it reaches desired pressure it stops and restarts until i kicks the breaker what can i try

i suspect that the start/run capacitor is faulty or the centrifugal switch in the back of the motor is faulty

have an accredited electrician check the motor , capacitor and the pressure control switch
the air leak at the head is a faulty non return valve in the compressor line to the tank
available at good tool shops for around $60.00

Hi , I have a john deere Dual Stage snowblower 1330SE The electric Chute rotation won't work any thoughts?

Detach wires at the motor that turns it, have someone try to rotate while checking wires with a meter. Should have power, if not look for bad fuse or connection to the switch. If you have power to the motor check across the motor for continuity. Maybe motor has a stuck brush?

Need to know wat oil i use, coz the oil light is on

The oil light is not an indicator that the oil level is low, its is an indicator that your oil pressure is low.

A dirty oil filter will make your engine loose oil pressure.

Of course no oil in the motor will also cause no oil pressure.

If you have the correct oil level and a new oil filter, and your oil light is still on.

Check that your oil pressure switch/sensor is working.(your oil light wire will go to the switch/sensor).

If your oil level is fine and the oil filter is clean and the oil light switch/sensor is good and the oil light still comes on, that is a sign that your oil pump isn't working correctly, and would have to be taken apart to see why.

Check the simple and less expensive stuff first, hopefully it will be one of those

Motor burned up, replaced motor now it will not start. could it be the capacitor?

I just had an issue where I thought the motor burned up. It turned out that the red wire from the motor start capacitor to the Motor switch was poorly attached. It became detached midwash and when the motor was supposed to start next I must have got an arc of some kind and thought the motor had burned out due to the smell.
Check the red wire from the motor start capacitor and make sure it has not detached from the plastic wiring harness/pin plug that plugs in to the motor switch. Detach the paper face plate of the motor switch and make sure the connectors are not fried.
Good luck!

EC119SA less than one yr old just has started showing signs of low air volume. Was using it to clean off work bench, first blast of air was strong then quickly has very little pressure. The pressure gauge...

hi there, if there is enough air pressure present in the compressor the motor will stop, the pressure switch is working.if there is a good pressure at start then suddenly lost the pressure, there is no maintaining pressure to use but on the pressure gauge appear to be have a good or enough air pressure. check if the pressure gauge have enough air pressure the motor is stop, meaning the cut out limit switch stop the motor,if you loosen the air pressure from the valve until the cut in pressure attain or meet the motor will run again there will be a cycle process of differential pressure of cut in and cut out set up on pressure switch. checking the compressor,be sure there is a high pressure on compressor and the compressor motor is stop, shut off service valve and disconnect unit device / tools from the service valve. if the compressor have enough air pressure crakc down the service valve and observe the pressure until it run again the compressor motor,if the pressure maintain the pressure you need to clean the bench, the problem is the unit device/tool you use is defective, but if the maintaining air pressure in the compressor is lost due to malfuction of motor and the compressor engine. check the pressure switch, check the motor function by loosening the belt and run the motor w/o the compressor engine if it is tripping brought it to service center, check also the lubricant oil,if neccessary change oil.have a nice day and fix my rate thanks a lot.

Breaker relay tripping out

If the unloading valve trips , which i think is the safety valve that tells me the compressor is pumping up past its maximum allowed pressure. that black switch should be the overload switch. check the amps of the wires going to the motor while its running and then look at the name plate of the motor to see the maximum amount of amps that the motor is allowed to draw.
