Go into options mode and select LED BLNK to Blinking. This will return the lights to normal.

My XTR-690SE will no longer power on. I have replaced the fuse so that's not the issue and have also tried 4 different vehicles with no luck. Any suggestions or warranties for this product??

Press IN on the power/volume button. Its possible that the Vehicle battery saver feature kicked in and turned off the unit. THis status remains in the unit's memory so plugging/unplugging the power cord does not correct it. You need to press IN on the power/volume button to turn it on.

I have an Whistler XTR radar detector, I cannot get power to the unit from the power outlet on a BMW 528 I just bought, the unit worked on my Lexus. Do I need a special cord?

No special cord is required. Does the lighter socket in the BMW power other 12 volt devices? If so, then check the fuse in the radar detectors power cord plug. If not, then check the BMW's lighter socket fuse to make sure that is working properly.

The red alert light indicates that the filter needs to be cleaned. I have cleaned it but the light remains on. I have turned the unit of and on again but it doesn't change the light. The unit is...

Tunr the unit OFF & unplug it for 15 minutes. Then plug it back in and turn it on. The electronics should have reset and reverted back to the original factory settings & the red light should no longer illuminate, as long as the filter was reinstalled properly.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

On the side of display screen I have an N on the left side and H on the right side . Can u explain why those ate on now and of it's a problem? Thanks!

The N indicates North as the 695 has a built-in Compass and the H indicated Highway mode. Look at the bottom of the unit for the sticker explaining the calibration procedure to activate the compass.

Got a whistler xrt-695 from individual. unit powers up goes thru all the frequencie alerts and laser alerts, scans menu to tell what is active. Seems to be perfect. x-band is on, K,Ka, Laser, all of it,...

how long have you had it? Have you had a radar detector before this one? Try a factory reset - hold in the power button and the quiet button, while holding in these buttons plug in the power cord. The unit will beep twice indicating that its reset. Remember the unit is not a "Cop" detector its a radar detector so not all police cars have radar in them and if they do they may not have it turned on.

Led display shut down when the detector detect an alert

You have the unit in dark mode. Press the Dim/Dark button again to get the unit to full brightness. THe unit has 3 levels of DIM. First the unit is at its full brightness, pressing the dim/dark button will dim the display and the unit functions normally. Press the Dim/Dark button again will futher darken the display but when the unit alarms the display is turned off and remain off during the alert. After the alert is over the unit waits 20 seconds of no alert to turn the display back on.

My detector is in compass mode. how do i put it in highway mode?

Press the Menu button and the unit should show "COMBO" if it does then the Radar and compass is turned on. If it only shows "COMPASS" then press the dark or City button to have the "COMBO" displayed. Then wait a few seconds and the unit will exit menu and save your setting.

Have a whistler 3000, and power is going to the unit but no lights are visible and unit seem to be working

First this is not a Whistler model, its a Fuzzbuster model. Does the unit 'Beep" when you turn it on? Does the lights flash during this time as well? If so, then the unit maybe working but not picking up signals.
