Kenmore 90 Plus Series Gas Dryer that will not heat

Have a Kenmore 90 Plus Series Gas Dryer that will not heat when turned on. The gas supply is connected and gas is available to the dryer. The drum does rotate when turned on but does not get hot. Is there a sensor that prevents the gas from comming on. Model number 110.78932792.

It could be several other things thermal fuse, thermal cut out, hi limit thermostat, dryer coils, heat sensor,or igniter. All of these parts are inexpensive and easy to test and replace. There is a video at t http://appliancehelponline.com/gdryertroublevideo.html his will walk you thru the troubleshooting of these components. It may be a different model but the troubleshooting will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available. If you need help disassembling your machine there are videos of this also for most styles.

I khave a Kenmore gas dryer 110-90 series. It no longer clicks off when the timer is set. Now, there is no heat coming from the dryer. The drum turns with air drying but no heat from any of the cycles.

I DO NOT HAVE NATURAL GAS AVAILAABLE WHERE I LIVE/

You can order an LP conversion kit to change it over to propane. Most kits cost between 30 and 60 dollars, and require you to take the drum out of the dryer to access the gas valve for the change over.

Dryer barrel turns no heat this is a gas dryer 90 series kenmore

remove front cover, this will allow you to remove top cover, then take off drum belt and you will see the gas valve, follow the gas tube to the fire funnel and you will see the ignitor, check for continuity, if its good, then it could be a flame sensor or the control board at fault

I have a Kenmore Series 90 gas dryer. Works fine.

The only source of a gas leak from inside the dryer itself is the gas valve. They can sometimes leak a little gas when you first turn the gas on after hooking it up. If your gas pressure is normal (and I'm guessing the plumber checked it) and your other gas appliances are working properly, the dryer gas valve is faulty and should be checked by a qualified appliance servicer.
