Question about Dell Computers & Internet
When my computer (Dell dimension 2350 desktop) boots up I get a message that my Sys32/drivers/pci.sys is corrupt or missing. I have tried to go into safe mode and try to restore from last good connection, and have tried all options in the safe mode screen. I don't have original disks, it was given to me by a neighbor for my kids. Any suggestions?
Insert Windows startup disk, at the welcome screen type R (repair windows installation), press C to start recovery console.
Type the following at the command prompt, and then press ENTER
expand drive:\i386\pci.sy_ c:\winnt\system32\drivers /y where drive is the drive letter of your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, where c is the drive on which Windows is installed, and where winnt is the folder in which Windows is installed
