Hello,

the first this to check is the AC adapter. Test the laptop with another AC adapter, likewise test your AC adapter with another laptop.

Test the s10 lenovo with another adapter and let me know if it will power up or not.

Good luck.

Hi, I have a Lenovo s10-2 and when i researched it before I bought it it said it had an led light for the keyboard, which I really liked with my old thinkpad. For the life of me I can't find it. Any...

Hi kenax951,

Thank you for choosing Fixya, I see that you are asking where the option for the keyboard light will be on your S10-2 Lenovo Netbook.

I am sorry to say that the S10-2 Netbook does not have that function or light under the keyboard to illuminate the keys.

All Lenovo systems do not have that kind of keyboard, only IBM would have some Laptops that have a light that can illuminate the keyboard.

I have checked every detailed manual and refference regarding the Lenovo S10-2 Netbook but there isn't anything that would specify about a light LED on the keys of the s10-2 keyboard.

Thank you for choosing Fixya,

Lenovo s10 type 4231 ..power on ..no display..screen flash on turning off

try to removed the battery and unplugged the power cord, then while the battery is unplugged and as well as the power cord, press and hold the power button for one minute, thats the basic way of power draining the laptop, then after that, connect it direclty to the power outlet then turn it back on,if nothing happens, possible LCD or LCD cable, try to contact lenovo tech support for you to be able to send it to the repair center

Just bought Lenovo S10 and so unlucky that window crashed. So have to restore my Lenovo S10 to factory settings. Can’t really find how ot restore to factory settings in Lenovo S10 from the User Manual. So check from google, after many many search, finally found the solution.
For Lenovo S10 to restore to factory settings follow the steps below:-

  • Turn off your Lenovo. (i mean shut down and make sure it’s power off)
  • Now press on the “One Key Recovery” key at the top of your Keyboard, your Lenovo S10 should boot up. Else hold down the “One Key Recovery” key until it boot up.

  • Now you may choose “Restore to factory settings” from the screen and proceed for the restoration.
** the restoration will first check if your windows files has been corrupted, if yes, then it will restore it to the original state and no restore is required. else it will continue with the restoration
