I appreciate the suggestion and it may well be the answer. I only bought the machine today and so I would expect that all belts etc should be tight and the machine in perfect working order.

  • marinag1 Apr 21, 2008

The transit bolts were removed before the machine was started. I followed all the instructions to the letter, even the recommended wash at 60 degrees C. I don't think that machine actually heated the water. So there is something wrong. I have given up and will exchange it for another one when they arrive at the store. It was floor stock and no new machines were available so when they offered it I took it. Perhaps the machine was damaged if people opened and closed it or something. Another odd thing was that water came out of the machine during transport but the salespeople tell me that's because it was tested in factory prior to shipping. I' never noticed that in the last 2 washing machines I've bought.

Yes. I've come to that conclusion too. I asked if the machine had been sold and returned as well and was assured that was not the case. I'm still waiting for the phone call to tell me the new shipment has arrived.

I'd say that belt might be loose a bit so it slips under load. That would explain why the motor can rotate empty basket but not the loaded (heavy) basket.

Hmm... Since it is new, I got to ask have you removed transportation fixtures before turning it on? There are usually several bolts which hold basket drum fixed to the casing and machine must not be turned on before they are removed! If that's hopefully not the case than perhaps belt is for some reason greasy and slips when basket is loaded.

Tested in factory with water prior to shipping. The guy who told you that should start selling used cars. He's natural talent. LOL

My top loader Simpson ezi set washing machine over fills what can I check to get it working normal again

check the small tube to the level pressure switch
check the switch is working
check/replace the water control solenoid / diaphragm
tests are
with out clothes
select a low level wash
listen as the water flows in
when the tub is about 1/2 full the water solenoid shouf make a clunk sound and the water cuts off
at the same time the wash cycle begins
if the water comes right up and there is no solenoid sound then check the small tube or the water level switch
if there is the sound but the water continues replace the diaphragm in the solenoid

Simpson Ezi Sensor Front Loader keeps pausing during washes, doesn't put through the detergent.

you might be putting the detergent in the wrong part of the dispenser,or you might have the hose on the wrong way,or the water valve has failed. Read up on your user manual to see what happens on this part of the cycle, does the w/m empty ,then try and bring in more water?? The main give away to this fault is,detergent still in the dispenser.Check all your filters on your inlet hose and water valves.
You have to ask yourself what has changed, cheers.

the motor is spring loaded - move lift motor towrards the cabinet lining to the right. Put band around drum and pully at rear of motor then allow motor to move back onto band to cause the tension

EZI Sensor is unbalanced on every load

Problem now solved, Simpson solved it by informing me that this machine comes with 4 transit straps on the bottom of the bowl to the adjustable feet. Its not stated anywhere on the material supplied.

We are using our Electrolux/Simpson Ezi Sensor washing

also have the same machine - if you wash with the eco rinse the clothes will ALWAYS have the soap residue on them and if you use the deep rinse then this machine will just sit there doing the very occasional agitate for up to 6 hours - can't win - have only just hung out a load and as usual there are many many dry spots on the sheets which is a daily occurence - really hate this machine and it's so called u-beaut functions -
