Hello maud2,

Not sure if this will help, but here are the user manuals in pdf format for your cooking range (not sure which version you have):
Classic 110 All Electric Ceramic
Classic 110 Gas

If your clock is totally melted, then as my friends above have suggested, it is best you contact Rangemaster or a competent local serviceman and have them replace the timer panel. This will prove to be in your best interest, after all.

Wishing you all the best and good luck,
IrishDruid

Dont know how to set the clock on my cannon gas cooker

Before anyone can answer this we'd need to know the type, model number and manufacturer of the oven. Sorry.
However, it's odd that the oven won't work if the clock won't. Usually it's the other way around.

If the front side the oven has melted so that you are unable to do this.

Then the plastic cover would need to be removed, I beleave the buttons would still work without the plastic cover, but I do recommend geting this serviced by a professional but if you must get it to work right now.

I don't have a service manual so I dont know exactly how to remove the cover.

Kenmore 790 issue

Since you mentioned replacing a heating coil, I'm assuming this to be an ELECTRIC RANGE vice a gas range.

It sounds like you may be missing part of the input voltage at the wall receptacle. You should be reading 220-240VAC across the two hot terminals (left and right slots). Some homes are wired with two separate breakers to make up the 220 service that feeds your appliance. If this is the case, make sure one of the breakers is not tripped.

Or, you may have a possible bad power cord. With the unit unplugged, check the continuity of the power cord from end to end to make sure the wires are not broken.

The clock assembly functions off of a 110-120VAC source which is tapped off the input voltage. All the elements all use 220. If one of the input legs is missing, the clock will still function, but none of the elements will work. Please check and get back to me if this isn't the problem. I hope this helps you.

The control buttons on my Amana AGDS902SS are breaking off. I have three of them broken now. Don't know if it's the kids or the cleaning person, but I now have to use a bamboo skewer to cancel the oven or...

if the buttons are for the clock . then 1/2 of the button stem is inside the clock . you may damage the clock ( e g r ) buy poking inside it . they cost a lot .. remove old stems and buttons / replace all / they get brittle from oven heat . m m

The clock(computer?)broke so I replaced that part it seems to work. I then tried the oven it will not light. The ignition glows red but does not light the gas. I can smell gas. I tried lighting the oven...

Just because an igniter glows, does not necessarily mean it is good. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r401858-replacing_oven_igniter_gas_range

It sounds like you may have had a couple of problems. The gas smell concerns me though. If an igniter is weak, you shouldn't get any gas flow in the oven. This is a designed safety feature that prevents free flowing gas from filling up the oven cavity without ignition. I would recommend checking your igniter for the proper current and/or replace. The link I provided, lists the steps required. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Display clock failure so no main oven

check you have power to clock and if not, check wiring back to find out why not. to get oven working, you can bypass the clock by joining the two wires to the clock relay. these clocks are remarkably expensive

CLOCK & OVEN PROBLEM

How Ironic, we have a Moffat Discovery and exactly the same thing has happend, so we are waiting for a new Zanussi to be delivered.

As the clock timer is linked to the oven it will not light when the clock has broken.

Temporary solutions: So I turned all the electricity to the cooker off and left it a while, when I turned it on still the same problem, but after about 2 hours it comes back on, works for a couple of days then goes off again, (always seems to go out when my missus is planning to cook, so wondering if she' got something to do with it, don't tell her I said that though)

Now trying to switch the clock setting to stop or manual, and when it goes off i'll try and see if the oven lights,
