Question about HP Computers & Internet
On my HP running XP SP3. I get a message after a while telling me about high speed devices being plugged into a USB that's not high speed. I've tried to look into the settings before clicking the message off many times now but can't find a thing. It does this even when nothing that's plugged in, like printer or scanner, is even turned on. If I have an expansion drive plugged in it will usually lose identity and when I get it back it works very slowly unless I turn the device off and start over again. Is there some setting I need to do or scrap this 3 yr on unit. I can't live with this inconvenience. Thanks!
Hi this is a problem that some older systems suffer from as the windows is updated they expect that the system is capable of using the update, but as experience has shown that does not seem to be the case, infact quite the opposite as some older systems can not get hardware upgrades such as laptops, which are stuck with the hardware they have, normally this shows that you have USB type 2 in your laptop as a 3 year old system would have, but the system updates try to change the port settings to accomodate for these changes and on some systems ( not all before someone says ) it just does not work...hope this helps ps. personal opinion, get another laptop, preferably not HP..
