you most likely need to run a head clean and alignment, which is needed after each cartridge replacement.

Re-download from here:
Make sure you download the "KODAK All-in-One Printer Software (including drivers) for all 5000-Series and ESP-Series Printers" and not the "firmware".
Select to install all drivers (should be the default). Reattach the Kodak.

If they do not have a driver on the website specifically for Windows Vista, you could try a Windows XP driver and see if it is compatible. If not, you will not be able to use the printer without the specific Driver software. Hope this helps.

Hi, if nothing happens when scanning w/ your printer.Please follow the steps below.
1.Verify that the scanner is working properly by copying a document first.
2. Open the Kodak AiO Home Center software.
3. Select Configure Settings.
4. Click Scan.
5. Click either the Documenttab or PictureTab depending on the file you want to scan.
6. Under File Save Setting, sure that the Prompt for filename and location is selected.
7. Click Apply then OK.
