Samsung DVD-SH855 DVD Recorder 250GB HDD playback freezes

New DVDR unit connected to recent Samsung LCD TV via HDMI cable, TV digital reception is A1. When playing back HDD recording the image stutters and freezes. Took DVDR back to store and exchanged for another new unit - still does the same. Tried it on another Samsung LCD TV - same problem.
Spoke to Samsung Tech on first occasion and did not get any solution.

Samsung dvd sh-855 i have the same problem wiht freezes when recording on timer mode.Recording in timermode with TV on is OK. But only connected whit HDMI cable, Component is OK in all modes!!!
My recorder is a XXE model = scandinavian.
Do anyone have a solution Please

Hey New firmware available for this "Timer issue" from Samsung and it works for me.
New firmware version - 080610.
Just ring Samsung and find out. They can advise nearest service cnter to do this.

After having this problem with the new DVD-SH855 DVD Recorder 250GB HDD , I took it back to the store and exchanged for another identical unit - had exactly the same issues with the second on. Took it back and exchanged for a Panasonic which has worked 100% OK from the outset.
