    I have xp professional and when I try to install the cannon mp210 software disk, the computer tells me that the software is not compatible with Windows 2000. I do not even have a Windows 2000 operating system.

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

Official Canon Drivers and Software

Canon USA:DRIVER & DOWNLOADS

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Hi,

It might be a compatibility issue. Though the Canon MP210 is Vista compatible, Vista itself has been known to have USB issues. May I suggest that you uninstall the Canon MP210 printer first as well as all instances of your USB (in your Device Manager). On reboot, Windows will auto-reinstall all your USB. Thereafter pls update/patch your USB drivers themselves. Microsoft recognized this concern and has issued a patch/update here or here. Additionally, you may want to update your USB port drivers by going to Acer's driver pages. Further, you may want to check if there are any updates or newer drivers for the Canon MP210 here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

I have reformatted my computer. I can't install my MP210 printer as I have lost the installation CD.
At the site below you can download the installation software needed for your MP210 printer,
Click on the subheading " Drivers and Software " after getting to the site.
Select your operating system from the dropdown box and all software available for your printer will
appear below the box.
Download the appropriate software to your computer and install the printer.

My printer is not working and gives E 27... What shall I do with what...? Plz replay soon
The error message is telling you there is something wrong with the ink. I have found two possible solutions for you to try. I will give you the links and you work out how you will use them. The first is to install a new driver:

And the second, is a supposed quick fix, but I cant attest to its ability to perform, as I do not have a machine to test is on.

How do i scan something with canon mp210. I have lost the set up cd rom. it prints and copies fine, i just can't figure out how to scan
You need to have the proper software installed to be able to scan. If you have installed it, then open the program and run the scan function. If you haven't installed the software, do a Google search for your printer model. Go to the Canon website and search for the drivers and software for your model. The software on your lost CD can be downloaded form Canon. Install the software and follow the instructions.

Using my scanner
The installation software you installed with your MP210 should have a program call "MP Navigator EX". It is quite easy to use and very intuitive. You can control all scanner functions through it.
