Question about Cell Phones

My Verizon Dare is starting to give me problems. I have had it probably about 15 or 16 months and Im beginning to have problems with the screen. It will often become scrambled or sometimes be black when the phone is still on. Should I take it to my Verizon store to see what they say or should I just get a whole new phone? Its been doing this for a couple of weeks now

Uncertain if you have tried this but i suggest removing the battery for about ten minutes then reinserting it and turning on the phone to "reset" it. i may add if you don't have a contract it and it is within the budget you may consider getting a new phone. some contracts will upgrade the phone for you. keep your sim card and memory card tho for use in a new phone if you decide to go that route.
there may also be a software update for that phone that verizon would supply to you so another suggestion would be to call them to find out.

Nothing happened to my phone but it keeps telling me that it has no service. this happened after my screen turned purple and so they told me to reset it and the problems happened after i did.


There is a glitch in these phones that if they are exposed to sunlight or heat, even in a car, the screen may bust, begin to change colors and return to normal, and have service problems. Your best bet would be to go to verizon and tell them the problem you've been having and see if you are still under warranty and have them issue you a new LG Dare. Good Luck.

I have had my LG dare since July 2008. 2 days ago


you may have possibly damaged the screen from applying too much pressure, maybe not intentionally but from placing in pocket, sitting on it etc.... you can call verizon if you have the insurance and have the device replaced or check to see if it is under manufacture warranty. that specific problem exist in all touchscreen devices eventually.

LG Dare - Short drop - unresponsive Dare!


1) Try removing the battery
2) wait 60 seconds
3) reinsert and power on
4) if problem is not resolved you need to get it in for warranty replacement.

If you are on verizon, you can walkin to any verizon store with a tech support dept and they may be able to exchange it onsite.

hey i had the same problem so i went to the nearest verizon tech support and they told me i had to get a new dare luckily for me it was under warrenty thats the best i can do sorry if it doesnt help

Got LG dare from friend but dont know the password


The only advice to really give is that he probably didnt change the passcode...so it should be the same four digits as the last four digits of his cell phone number.

If you can get the number, you should be able to use the last four digits as the passcode. Thats the "default". Otherwise you can probably take the phone into a verizon store to get it reset, they can do the reset without the passcode, I believe. Hope that helps!

LG Dare Mobile IM Login Error


My recommendation is to call Verizon Wireless and have them troubleshoot. I am having the same problem, and when I called last night to see if I could get it fixed, they tried several things -- no success. However, they told me nobody else was reporting this issue!

So... REPORT IT TO VERIZON! Maybe they will investigate into it further and fix whatever the issue might be.

How do you get music on your verizon phone without paying monthly


Using your supplied USB cable, connect your phone (after installing the drivers) to your computer.
On your phone, goto "My Music" and click on "sync".

Option 1:
Your Windows "Portable Device" connect pop up should appear.
Double click on "Sync digital media files to this device..." OR
