When i connect my Sammsung Yepp mp3 to my PC, it says New hardware found. But, when it has to find the driver for this it says USB Driver for Samsung YP-C1 V2.290 not found. What should i do, and i desperately wanted to know a place from where i could get it.

I guess if some one may be able to help me out i will be greatful.

Sansa e260 used to be visible in Windows Explorer. However, it is not recognized anymore. I think that this has happened after I installed Microsoft's LifeCam, but I'm not sure about it. I use the MP3 player mainly to listen to the audio books, so I connect my e260 to PC (XP SP2) not very often. I tried everything I could find on the subject, nothing works for me.

I have the same problem, PC does not detect the Sansa e260. The Sansa show that it is connected and that the battery is charging but only for a short time and then the charging goes off but when I unplug the Sansa it says "Low Battery" and shuts down. I have left it plugged in long enough for a full charge.
This is brand new, I got it for my son at Christmas and he just got around to opening it this month (April 2008) so we don't have any kind of return policy for it.
    Thanks for your help

I got my Sansa E260R in February and at that time everything was working perfectly. Now, in late April, the computer no longer detects the device when I plug it in. It doesn't say "connected" and charge on the device, and it doesn't appear in My Computer. I tried getting a new USB cable for it, and that didn't fix the problem. I even tried switching it to MSC mode, but when I looked for the option to change modes on my device, the closest I could find was to change it from Rhapsody to Plays for sure. I tried changing that as well, but that had no effect.

    What can I do?

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Connect it with the USB cable and if that dosen't work install the software that came with it. If your memory card for the device is removable use an adapter to connect the card to the PC.

Sansa Fuze player will not connect to the computer

Hello,

The Sansa Fuze information support is on next site:
http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3249/

Sansa Fuze can connect in either MTP or MSC mode.
MTP is Media Transfer Protocol when a software program like Windows
Media Player 10 or higher is installed.
MSC is Mass Storage Class when the player is detected as an external flash drive in "My Computer".

The connection mode can be set to one of the following USB modes:
auto detect:
the player will connect in MTP or MSC mode. It depends on the drivers that are installed for the USB ports for the operating system and extra media software, if the data on the player can be detected. In auto detect
mode, MTP mode detection is only possible when having Windows Media Player 10 or higher installed.
mtp:
detection on operating system Windows XP SP2 or higher, in Windows Media Player 10 or higher.
msc:
detection on operating system Windows in the explorer in "My Computer" and on MAC operating system.

Look in the manual on page 35 = page 38 in the pdf file, how to switch the USB mode under System Settings in the player:

You can copy the music from the computer to the Player My Computer\Sansa e200...\music or to a micro sd-card.

Download user manual SanDisk e200 series.

Sansa e260 wont be detected by computer

I assume that you are running an older version of Windows from XP/2000. If you can get on the internet, go to Sansa's site and download the driver from there. Here is a link http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/SMC

Why isnt my computer detecting my sansa mp3 player?

Check the usb port is enabled .

Go to Run and type "Devmgmt.msc" and press Enter.

Go to Universal Serial bus Controller. See if there are any red colored cross? If yes, right click and enable those USB Ports.

If it is enabled try with other usb ports . If it is not detected go to control panel ->add hardware to detect the player .

Hope this helps .

If you are using a front USB port on your computer, try using One in the rear that is connected directly to the motherboard. It worked on mine!
