Perhaps your cooling system lost the cooling fluid? (used to be freon)

GE Profile refriderator PSC25MSWA is frosting/icing on bottom of Refriderator side

Try defrosting entire unit. Put all food, freezer and refrigerator sides in coolers with ice. Unplug unit and wait at least 24 hours for unit to completely defrost, if neccessary open doors, plug unit back in and see how unit functions. By doing this lines that carry freon should become unclogged.

Rear ac blowing hot air, popping sound coming from R side rear ac. Is it an easy fix or will it cost a lot to fix.

I believe there is an actual evaporator for that part of the system. I believe it is a dual a/c unit and suspect that the rear part of the system has leaked out the refriderant. Exact costs are unknown until you take it into a trusted repair shop and have them check the a/c for leaks. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

The refriderator is not cooling properly but the freezer is freezing

A defrost system problem could be preventing the refrigerator from cooling properly. If you do see excessive frost on the evaporator in the freezer, you may be able to restore proper cooling in the refrigerator by storing your food in an ice chest and then shutting off the refrigerator/freezer and letting the unit completely defrost for about 24 hours. Leave the doors open for air circulation. After the frost on the evaporator has defrosted, plug the unit back in and see if the refrigerator and freezer will cool properly.
If there is still same problem then you need to replace evaporator fan.

Hope this helps.
Please feel free to ask us, if you have any further queries.

When fridgerator is running the exterior gets hot on top and on sides what would cause this

REFRIDERATOR'S REQUIRE A MINIMUM SPACE AROUND THEM SO NOT TO RUN HOT, BUT IF YOU HAVE THIS SPACE MET, THEN YOU COULD HAVE A DIFFERANT INTERNAL REFRIGERATOR PROBLEM.
YOU WILL NEED TO CALL A APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE TO ACCESS THE PROBLEM. THEY MAY NEED TO RUN A COOLING TEST ON IT. - - SORRY

Refriderator side is nice and cold. Freezer side is hot 55 degrees. I have unplugged a couple of times but still won't lower the temp.

did you replace the fan on your unit? its not possible that the fridge is colder than freezer unless the fan is reverse..

I have a kenmore cold spot refriderator not cooling

Since the compressor is not hot to touch, I would bet that the relay /overload assemby on the compressor terminals are defective. This is a common problem on refrigerators that can be fixed with a few simple tools. I recommend a 3 in 1 start kit that is easy to retrofit. Start by removing cover off compressor. Read intructions on kit to hook up three wires to terminal s,r, and c. Next cut the black wire feeding power to compressor and hook to one line of kit. Cut white common wire and hook to other line of kit. Place the kit off to the side of compressor and reinstall the cover. Plug frig back up and compressor should run if installation is correct. Hope this helps

Water pooling in refriderator bottom

The automatic defrost system has to remove humidity that enters when you open and close doors to keep it from icing up on not cooling, yours is not allowing this moisture to drain to a pan by the compressor where it evaporates on its own......
Not sure if your model is a unit with the freezer compartment on the top or bottom, but the repair is the same. You need to remove the back of the freezer compartment, should be a light metal sheet panel held on by a few screws, sometimes there is plastic to pop off, do not force plastic........(also unplug and use a work light)

There will be a aluminum finned square tubing(evaporator) that looks like a radiator. Directly underneath it on the freezer bottom back is the defrost pan with a drain hole in the center. Do not puncture the aluminum tubing or you will lose the freon and ruin your fridge........

If it is frozen with ice on the base, let it thaw overnight, pour hot water down the pan under the evaporator in the morning, and put a towel on the floor, it may or may not overfill the small catch drain pan in back by the compressor...(self evaporating-do not have to empty) Good luck......(you can also remove the ice in the freezer base with hot water and a couple of towels rather than waiting overnight, but again do not damage your evaporator) Reassemble and your done

Panel between doors is hot

Many models of refrigerators have a heating element around where the gasket seals to the fridge. This is to prevent ice buildup around the doors that would prevent the doors from closing all the way.
If you haven't noticed any other problems with the cooling of your unit, you're refrigerator is running exactly the way it was designed.

My ge profile side by side bottom freezer is hot to the touch

is you condenser fan runnig at all. look in the back ot the unit and if you have a cover plate hten you need to either put your hand close to the opening and feel if there is a draft or if ther is air being blown out that is warm. If not then the condenser fan may be toast.
