How can i get my computer to run the way it use to

Windows tends to slow down with time. That is why so many people reset to original status.

Slow Windows Machine! Sounds like not enough resources such as RAM and CPU. Check Performance in Task-Manager (CTRL-ALT-DELETE). High CPU levels causes hang ups like freezing. Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate. Consider increasing RAM. Uninstall any extras like those pushy toolbars, and add-ons.

When attempting to load graphics, computer slows drastically or shuts down (returns to homepage). Is this due to the built in graphics, or???

Try disabling startup programs from loading in the first place. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig > Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically.

Computer freezes up; too slow. Previously

Make sure you rerun the antivirus software again. Then you will need to do a complete disk cleanup and disk defragment.

As a last resort you can reload windows. There is an option to load new copy or not choose not and you can keep all your files in place.

As of yesterday my computer wont load or play the games all at once my computer runs so slow to a point then it wont do anything, like it freezes where it is.

it sounds like your computer has gone back to default windows starter, check your computer if it is running on default if not you might have to see if the admin user is your name or not it might have changed itself with a power fault or wrong disconection
check admin user is not set on default, that should only be set for backup or default

Laptop wont load windows after freezing up and turning off

Have a Linux-savvy friend try booting a Live-Linux CD on your computer. If everything works,
then it isn't a hardware problem, just a virus "infection." In that case you could fix your computer by doing a fresh Windows install.

Computer turns on but freezes and doesnt load applications

Sounds like your computer is a old one, or is slow. The problem could be little RAM, which is what the computer calls speed and how fast it will open things, the CPU is too small, which is the main processing unit and causes slow speeds if it is not one of the latest CPUs or your Hard Drive is full and doesn't have enough free room to run anything well. Fist thing i want you to do is run a virus scanner to make sure you have n viruses causing the problem. if its all clear go into my computer, find the C Drive and right click on the icon and go into properties and check its free room. if its less than 250MB delete programs you don't use or don't need anymore. Now go into Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools and open Disk Defragmenter and Click on Defragment to begin the process. This will give you more free room and give it a small boost of speed in opening programs. This can take a very long time, talking hours so best to do it at night. A good way to boost your computers speed is to give it Virtual Memory, Which turns some of your hard drive into RAM. Right Click on My computer>Properties>Advanced and look for Performance and press 'Settings'>Advanced> and find Virtual memory and press change and click on the 'Custom size button' and Put '1024' into 'Initial size(MB) and put '2048' into 'Initial size(MB) and then click set then ok. It may ask you to reset your system. Do this. Now see if your application programs load faster. if not its a hardware problem and take it into a computer Technitian to get some more RAM in it to speed it up.

Hope This Helps
