I want to help you but I'm not sure what you mean by "footprint vents", can you give me a little better idea?

The vents with footprint shapes on. It is like the one in youtube video called "foot print vent fan."

  • jonesspammai Jul 13, 2010

When you say vents do you mean the holes in the motor housing or do you mean the vanes or blades?

  • AsshoIe Jul 13, 2010

holes in the motor. The circle part of footprints is facing toward the center.

I've tried the wholesale electic supply houses that I have online accounts with but didn't find one. I'll see if I can find one when they open tomorrow.

I'm sorry, I got hold of my contacts at the electrical supply houses and we didn't come up with a single fan that meets your description. We checked all the major brand catalogs and could only conclude it's either a discontinued design or was made by a custom supplier. I did come up with one possibility, an online company called: ceilingfanuniverse.com. They have over 2500 different ceiling fans including specialty fans. Good luck.

Hunter Ceiling fan remote is operating all the other ceiling fans as well

Sounds like all the dip switches are set to factory still. Easy enough to fix.
Slide open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and remove the fan's canopy against the ceiling. Then just change the switch to a different setting but make sure that the remote and fan have the same setting. Repeat this in each room so that all the fans have a different setting to each other.

Hope this makes sense.

Move the wall thermostat to a new location away from the ceiling fan or stop using the ceiling fan. Also, try running the ceiling fan in reverse (counter clockwise when you're looking up at the fan blades) on slowest speed. That might solve the problem, too.

Please let e know is that helps.

You have a venting problem. Some makes of condo size dryers have a lint screen inside the drum at the back. Check and clean. If not then there might be a screen in the wall or the ceiling of the room the dryer is in. Trace the vent from the dryer to the wall or ceiling. There should be a vent fan in the ceiling. Try asking the condo property management if there is an exhaust fan in the wall that needs cleaning.

Hampton Bay Ceiling fan wobbling

The fan came with one or more clips and some small weights that easily stick to the blade. Now with the clip you put it in one of the blades, starting from the far end and coming inwards, little by little. Try putting the clip in the middle of the fan and turn on the fan and see if it continues wobbling, if it continues wobbling try moving it to left and right and every time turn on the fan and see what happens. When you find the correct spot, there you glue the small weight.

Fixing Ceiling Fan

An easy-to-install ceiling fan can make a real difference in your home's climate - both cooling and heating - at a far lower cost and operating expense than almost any other item.
The installation begins with choosing where the fan should be located. In almost all homes, the fan is installed in the center of the room, replacing a central light fixture. This spot provides a smooth air flow to most of the room. Since a fan draws about the same power as a ceiling fixture, the electrical circuit shouldn't be overloaded. But if your fan includes lights, be sure the circuit it's on has enough extra capacity to handle the load. If not, you must run a new circuit with a new circuit breaker from the house main service panel or subpanel to the fan. If there is no central light fixture, you'll have to create a place to hang the ceiling fan. Then, you'll need to bring electrical power to it. You can tap into an existing circuit to do this.
