You haven't supplied enough information. An inverter only converts 12V DC to 115V AC. There are some battery packs with inverters, but that's not what you asked about. The time it "serves" is dependent on the load being connected and the battery(s) that the inverter is being supplied from. Go to a web site such as :http://www.donrowe.com/inverters/inverter_faq.html#hookup
You can learn a lot about inverters here.

Have a 2013 4stroke yamaha 60hp had it service at 20hrs as recommended. It has 50hr in total now shoud i have it serviced before getting back on the water or can it wait till the recommended 100hrs??

The service manual recommends every 100 hrs OR annually, whichever comes first. Yes do the service and expect fuel related issues if its not been run in years.

Is there any problem connecting Inverter and UPS in series for backup to computer?

Why would you want to do this?
The UPS has it own battery and inverter and can supply power to the computer/server and if the power interruption is too long and the battery power is unable to maintain power to the computer/server, it can initiate a shutdown procedure so the computer/server can shut down in an orderly fashion without losing data.
The size of the UPS with its batteries and the power requirements of the computer/server can be calculated to give a a capacity from as little as 30 mins to hours.
There is no need to run a separate charger, batteries and inverter to supply power to an UPS (it has all these buint-in) and it is an unnecessary additional complication.

I am looking at the same problem/solution

Ok, Heres the deal. A gel cell battery is 7.2 Ampere hrs, so to get 14,4 Ampere hours you would need two batteries connected in parallel. A F&P machine such as mine consumes around 60 Watts of power. Using Ohms law we get W= IxE or Watts = volts X amps[or amperes = watts / volts] so that a 60 Watt machine has a current draw of 60/110< =0.55A so that a 14.4 A/hr battery will run this machine for around 20hrs (allowing a residual charge of 25%)

Flashing light - unable to locate in manual book to what it is.

Local service agent beleives it is the heater element causing the problem. We are not using the freezer and when the alarm sounds we turn it off for an hour. This seems to fix it temporarily (20hrs), now waiting on parts to arrive.
