Check the pressure relief valve. if it is set to loose it will open when trying to put a load on bucket the oil will cirulate back to tank instead of to cylinders

Why wont my bobcat lift bucket

Hi John:
This is in the toys category.
If you're like me, and it is a real working bobcat, I understand. All of my machines are toys.
= So, assuming this is a really machine, you'll be dealing with a hydraulic problem, and if it were me, I'd be trouble shooting sort of like this:
WORK SAFE - All hydraulics lowered, machine off.
1) Check hydraulic tank fluid level.
2) Look under machine for any signs of leakage
3) Check all hoses, cylinders, and concealed spaces for signs of leakage.
4) Check pump for signs of leakage, make sure drive is engaged.
Please reply to this post as a comment and we'll carry on unless you've spotted the problem.
Cheers.

How do you bleed the hydraulics on a Bobcat 751 skid steer loader?

Hi Joseph:
Usually hydraulic components will "self clear" any air in the system just by trying to cycle through the functions a few times.
Have to ask the question............
Did you remove and replace the hoses one at a time, or did you take them all off at the same time?
The reason I ask is............ Could there be a remote possibility that any of the hose onnection locations were switched?

Machine was switched off at end of shift and key handed in as per procedure. machine was found this morning with bucket in down position with front wheels raised.

You have a ghost! or someone playing a prank. or someone trying to nick it, started it, pressed the wrong lever and lost their bottle.
Most of these keys can be replicated with a screw driver or even a nail so they are not very secure.

How do I replace hydraulic line from pump to right arm on my 96 753 bobcat

to replace hoses on hydraulic equipment you have to have all the parts in the relaxed position clean the area of the connections so that dirt will not get into the system.

that is the bucket on the ground, allowed to tilt forward

nothing can be held under hydraulic pressure

the engine should be shut off

use spanners to undo hose fittings (no hands)

ensure a safe work procedure and wear rubber gloves , eye ware ,face shield and keep hands away from connections ---oil under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause immediate death ---

once you have the hose disconnected replace it with a new hose

after fitting the new hose and tightening the fittings ,start the engine and cycle the hydraulics as this eliminates the air in the system

I have a s175 bobcat and the bucket will not stay knurled when i tilt the bucket up it just slowly dumps it

This is because of oil leaking back out of the hydraulic cylinders. It is ether the cylinders themselves leaking internally or the control valve leaking. Also check to make sure the control valve linkage is not sticking and holding the valve off neutral position

Bobcat 641 skidsteer hydraulic problems.

That's one of the first things that came to mind as I was reading through your post; that the system was air-bound. Are there bleeder valves on the system?

In any event here is a website where you can buy the service manual for your skidsteer; https://mypowermanual.com/shop/bobcat/bobcat-641-642-643-skid-steer-loader-service-manual-download-6566135-10-86/
