Question about Hampton Bay 24002 Ceiling Fan
I have a HBay ''Bryant'' fan that came with a single light - The Home Depot guy said we could purchase the lighting kit that had the 3 lights and put it on but I can't figure out where or how the lighting kit would attach. The piece from the fan is small black and has the two wires ready to hook up but they are plug in wires for the single light. I know I can splice it apart but again the lighting kit (3 light one) doesn't have anywhere to hook into the fan.
The power plug is a convenience for the factory light kit. You can clip the plug off and connect the wires with twist connectors.
Just hook all the white wires to the same connector and the blue(typically blue for the lights in hampton bay fans).
Be sure that you leave the switch installed and clip the wires AFTER the switch.
