Question about Brother Sewing Machines
I have the same machine and a copy of the original manual. Happy to send a copy of it. I need a belt...know where I can find it?

Testimonial: "I would love a copy of the manual. You can get a belt at a sewing machine repair shop. I took mine to a place in Vancouver, WA. I'm sure a place in Seattle would have one."

Seems this industrial machine is branded with several well known makes. I have purchased the machine direct with the manufacturerTamata and the model is a PF8500 which is branded as a Brother SL7553A or Brother DB2-B755 - Also known as Wimsew High Speed Lockstitch Industrial sewing machine.

The top of the machine is not threaded correctly. First raise the presserfot then rethread the machine. Bottom looping is usually caused by a lack of top tension. There could allso be a bur on the hook.

Yes, it is the capacitor, or the condenser as you call it has comletely short-circuited electrically bypassing the rheostat, which causes the motor to run at full speed. The cure is simple...cut it out of the circuit. On Singer machines the culprit is usually located inside the foot pedal box...probably on your Brother machine also. They were meant to supress noise from entering into your power line, which causes interference when listening to AM broadcasts, which everyone at the time did. The capacitors themselves will either be in one or two round cans or square flat cans. Simply snip the wires to the capacitor(s) inside the foot controller box and your machine will once again work like normal!

On mine this means the button for reverse is stuck. Just wiggle the button a bit and it will pop out again. It can get pushed in at a slight angle and catch a bit, but nothing is broken... I don't know if this is the only thing F2 means, but it is one thing!
