Question about Epson Stylus CX9400Fax InkJet Photo Printer
I cleaned the headprint of my Epson CX9400 unmounting it. And after I reassemble, the printer doesn't recognize the cartridges. I isntall 3 of them and the screen shows 1 Ink Missing, but when I plug in to it, it says Replace Ink Cartridges and shows the 4 of them.
Is there a solution?
Thanks in advance

SOURCE: Epson rx580 printer
I just started calling Epson's customer service line every time. They always offered to FEDEX new ink. I got tired of waiting for it to come and began returning bad cartridges to office depot where I had bought it and found out that they will take it back if it doesn't work. Now I've decided that some (a lot) of Epson's ink cartridges for the RX580 are bad and that I just have to keep trying until I get ink cartridges that work. I had tried the qtip cleaning, checking the ink/sensor connection, and making sure I had them snapped in tight. I've finally figured out it IS the ink. BTW, I always use the ink Epson reccomends, so it is definately that many of their cartridges are faulty. It's a pain to have to return them but as long as I can return and replace them and eventually have a machine that will print when I need it to, I can live with that.

CX9400Fax, All in one? If so; download the manual and/or Q& A and /or trouble shooting guide for instructions:

Generic carts are sometimes not recognized. Epson's chips are the cause. I solved this problem for a small investment. I purchased a CISS system for about $75.00 [ink included], that's the cost of OEM carts that do not last very long. The CX9400Fax is an Ink Hog, which is why the printer is so cheap. If you want a CISS go to http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/ They are great if you need help and will call you back in less than an hour. Get the Waste Ink Kit when ordering the CISS.
