Question about Haier 42EP24S 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television
Hi. Thanks for the great info. Can you email the service manual and let me know where to look for the burned parts/fuse?
If you know where to get the parts that'd be great too.
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks in advance.
Can someone please email me the 42hp25bat service manual as well?
I would realllly appreciate it!

I was going to buy the parts (all were 200+ each) but figured it was best to take it in for servicing. That way I know for sure what going on with it and don't waste 200+ on each part guessing which it could be.
The service company that I took it took was the one Haier referred me to. They told me it'd be 500 to fix it and no warranty(100 labor and the rest in taxes and the Y SUS board part). The Y SUS board part is about 380 online. That seems to be the main board and most expensive one.
I still have it at the service company and need to pick it up at a cost of 75 for diagnostic fee(they hooked up a computer and it diagnosis all parts on tv).
I figure if I can get another 42" during the thanksgiving day sales in a few weeks, I may just get a new one with warranty. Paying 500 and not having a warranty makes no sense. I'm thinking 42inch plasmas will be 500-600. I'm hoping Walmart has one....they seem to have the best 3 yr warranty price (online chk) so I can get a new one for 600-700 with 4 yrs of warranty.
My other option is to pay 75 to get it back and 380 to get part and install myself....saving about 50......with no warranty.
I'm also considering a projector instead....we'll see.
Oh yeah....the service company works for several vendors in Dallas and home warranty companies. They said Haier and Visio are problematic units and everyone should buy warranties for those or any other off brand. They said Visio parts are really pricy since Walmart owns the rights(monopoly) in the US to sell the parts. They recommended the old school name brands like Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba for flat tvs...since they get fewer calls on those brands. They also said some Samsungs are good.
For anyone looking for parts....I have all available(parting out my TV) other than the defective Y SUS board mine.
