If you have an PS3 most likely what you will need to do is backup your save files and format the drive because of the corrupted data. The link below will help you do this.

If you do not have a PS3 let me know the console that you have and the game that you are having trouble with.

Everything on my hard drive is gone, don't know why, can I retrieve it?

I had succeed to recover files from crashed hard drive with Asoftech Data Recovery program. It can recover data after deeply scanning your hard drive to look for lost data due to drives crash, physical damage, system sabotage, etc.You can download it and scan your hard drive for free to preview whether your files can be recovered

When i try and play call of duty modern warfare 2 it says " registration of the game trophy information could not be completed. the game will quit." (8002291A)

This could be a problem regarding your game data/save data. You could try deleting the game data and save data of CoD: MW2 on your system. Go to Game Data Utility and Saved Data Utility and delete everything pertaining to Cod: MW2 including any corrupt data. Once that is over, try running the game again.
You should also make sure that your game is updated. If you start up the game and the game is asking for an update, then you should update your game and try running it again.
If you game is not updated, try updating it before doing the game data/save data. If it works, you no longer need to delete the save/game data.

Shows disc is loading but game will not show up

It's due to corrupt data. You need to restore file system on your ps3.
Here is how.

HOW TO GO TO THE RECOVERY MENU OF PS3 SYSTEM

1. Make sure the ps3 is plugged in (stand by mode).
2. Put out your usb cable for the controller and the controller itself (do not connect yet).
3. Hold down power firmly, ps3 will turn on and then turn off, release power button when t turns off.
4. Hold down power again, you will hear a beep and then a double beep, when you hear that double beep release the power button.
5. Now you should be seeing something in your monitor that say "Connect usb controller", do just that.
6. After connecting the controller press PS button.
7. You are now in the recovery menu.
8. To fix the problem of corrupt data you can choose #3.
9. If you want to format your hard drive choose #5. Be aware that this option will delete everything that is in your hard drive.
10. Remember that doing #3 and #5 is not 100% to fix the problem of corrupt data, I say about 70%.

Good luck!

My psp is a 5.03 and wont read downloaded games

If you have a psp that has a running custom firmware, and all functions work except what you have described, then either the data you are trying to load IS corrupted, or the ISO's are not loaded on your memory stick in the correct directory structure, or the custom firmware you have loaded is simply not compatible with the backup of the software you are trying to load.

I have heard of a custom 5.02 that was released with iso/cso support removed, but not a 5.03. Maybe your experience is related to this.

A recovery flasher like this one will help downgrade your custom firmware 5.03 to a more stable one like CFW 3.71, without a service battery, but it will not help if you are running official firmware. A service battery would be required for that.

Read all about flashing firmware before doing it, because if you mess it up, your psp is gone!

Remember to support the games you like by buying them! Running the backups from your memory stick is better and faster than UMD, but if no one buys games, no one will make games!

Have you tried running a virus scan, an adware scan and defragmented your drives?
These things should help speed it up.
If its still too slow after doing these things, try disabling programs from booting with windows (such as things in the system tray like yahoo messenger, msn, aol, etc)

Problem with burner after removing hijacked file

It depends what HP PC you have, it should say on the front or on the labelling on the back, but most HP's do not ship with recovery (software) CD's. Instead they have an inbuilt recovery system that runs from the Hard Disk Drive and will run a non-destructive recovery by default, in other words it will restore the PC's factory shipped software without destroying your personal data. Even so, if you have an external HDD or another option it's always a good idea to backup your personal info before you run recovery. To access the recovery system on a Windows XP based HP PC you can: 1: Click either Start, then All Programs, then HP Tool, then HP System Recovery Or on some models: Start, then All Programs, then PC Help & Tools, then HP System Recovery 2: Keep pressing the F10 key from the moment you switch the PC on and following the on screen instructions. Or on a Windows Vista based HP PC: 1: Click Start, then All Programs, then Recovery Manager, then Recovery Manager again 2: Keep pressing F11 key from the moment you switch the PC on until it says "Windows is loading files..." on screen, once Recovery Manager loads click advanced options, select system recovery, select "backup your files first" and follow the on screen instructions. With some model HP's your PC will look the same as ever when you restart but with others your personal data will be in a folder within the Documents & Settings folder on your C: drive. If you need any more help message back.

Will not complete boot sequeance

Several possibilities. 1. Your windows installation is corrupted. You will need to use your recovery CDs or the recovery partition to reinstall windows. 2. Hard drive failure causeing windows corruption. 3. Bad memory. 4. Bad motherboard. Chances are, it is one of the first two. When you first turn on the computer, press repeatedly the F10 key until the laptop boots into recovery mode. It should automatically go to a place where you can do a soft recovery of the hard drive or, that is to say, a non destructive recovery, only removing the windows files and reinstalling the original windows files. This leaves your data intact. After the operation and if it is a success, you may have to reinstall some software programs again if they don't work but your data will remain in tact. If that doesn't work, do it again only when the recovery screen comes up, press the advanced button which will take you to a complete system recovery where it will reformat your hard drive and reinstall your laptop to its factory preset, just like it was the day you bought it. If neither of those work, you need to get a program that will run a scan on your hard drive to check it for errors but, normally, the first solution will do just fine for you.
