The filter component is located directly inside, bottom, behind the door. Looking at it from the inside, you will see 4 screws. Two will be close to one another remaining two, one on each side. Before you remove the screws make sure you have removed the lint slide that sits in the filter housing
Carefully with not too much force the filter housing should come off in 3 parts. The smallest and most lover peace will have 2 metal strips running flat parallel to each other on the plastic housing which is attached to a white connecter, carefully remove it from the connecter, remove all pieces out of the drum, clean thoroughly, vacuum cleaner will work great, however you will need a sharp and narrow instrument like a small thin screw driver to pull out dried up lint from small areas.
Once completed put back the connecter, put all parts into place screw back don’t use force if screws are tight, undo the screw, and slightly move the parts to make sure the screws tighten in place.
Make sure you have a general idea how to put parts back in place as you remove them.

DLE7177WM - Seems to work ok, but it is taking

Its going to be an issue with the wall vent of your house. The dryer is not venting the air at a good enough volume and that is why it is taking longer to dry. Sometime you may have to run a second cycle and I bet there is lint on your door gasket around the 6 o'clock positon.

The flex vent behind the dryer, the wall vent, and or the vent's outlet (roof or wall) outside the home needs to be cleaned to improve the air flow.

Good Luck.

What I would do is check for air restrictions inside and out. Clean the dryer good and then check the thermister for proper tolerances using this service pamphlet

LG DLE7177WM began making loud RuMbLiNg sound.

I have the same problem; pulled it apart and discovered the drum was cracked at the seam where it was welded. the noise occurs as it passes over the wheels the drum rests on. called LG's Cusomer Diservice and nobody was interested. found the same problems by others while searching myself so its clearly a manufacturing problem.

LG clothes dryer (DLE7177WM) signals completion of cycle when clothes are still damp. This even occurs when 'Very Dry' option is selected, which seems to now be required.

Hi thanks for the question The easiest thing to check is the venting make sure the dryer is far enough from the wall so the vent wont kink check and see the air going outside is not restricted in any way . dirty vents can also cause fires especially in gas dryers thanks for the question the appliance doc
