I've owned an mp3 player for over three months. I recently unplugged my device, it froze. I will click the play button on the machine and it will go to the "Every moment has its music" welcome sign that says Walkman on it, and then it'll to the loading section of the device, then it will freeze and shut off, is there a way to resolve this without taking the machine back?

Re: Mp3 Player Froze
Follow this procedure if the portable player appears to be frozen with Every Moment Has its Music on the display.
Confirm that the portable player is connected to a working USB port and that it is charging. If necessary, connect it to a different port. When connected properly, the battery icon will be animated or it will indicate the charge status such as FULLwhen charging is completed.
Make sure that you are pressing the POWER button to turn the player on. Previous Walkman models that did not have a power button would turn on by pressing any button. This model must have the power button pressed to turn it on.
Ensure that the HOLD function is not activated.NOTE: For some models, when you use the portable player for the first time, if you have not used it for a long time, or the battery is depleted, it may take up to 5 minutes for it to be recognized or start charging. On models with a display, the display will remain blank. If it the portable player is not recognized or does not begin to charge after waiting 5 minutes, continue with this procedure to reset the unit.
If the portable player is still not responding, reset it by pressing the RESET button with a small pin or similar object.NOTE: When the RESET button is pressed, although the unit will retain the music data and clock settings, all other stored data and settings may be deleted. If the unit starts up after the reset, access the Settings menu and initialize the unit using the Format (initialize) function.
If there was no change after the player was reset, connect it to the computer and reset it again, leaving it connected.
Check the Sony Support Web site to see if there are any available firmware updates for your model. Updates can be found on the Sony Support Web Site in your country.

You can't play a video on your Sansa Clip/sansa clip plus (based on pic you showed).
If your device is froze, press and hold power button untile device turn off (about at least 10 seconds); then turn it on and check it. If it's still frozen, turn it off again, plug it into computer and delete the video which makes it froze
Reset All NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION AND RESTORES ALL SETTINGS TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION! If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds. This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation will be gone.....
Been using this for a few months. Froze up on same song while on vacation last month, and continued to play same song on repeat until battery went down. Now is frozen with "Do Not Disconnect" as it was being charged on my laptop. Attempted to unplug and plug back in and Windows gives DO NOT DISCONNECT!!!!!
Reset button will turn it off (actually, volume + plus play at the same time, I believe will reset it). - if the problem persists, then go to www.usasupport.philips.com and upgrade the firmware for your GoGear. Windows Media Player 11 will cause intermittent freezing on this device.
Maybe try taking the battery out and putting it back in, because once my mp3 player froze and that worked. It froze when I was going through menus when the song was playing still and it was probably too much...
You have to hit the reset button. You stick the end of a small paperclip or even the wire part from those garbage bag twist-ties into the reset button which is the hole on the bottom of the player. As you push the paperclip into hole you must hold down the PLAY button. This should put it into the Recovery screen or else it will just say "Rebuilding Library".
If it goes into the Recovery screen you select CLEANUP and then YES. After it goes through cleanup which can take forever then it will will usually reboot on its own or if it goes back to recovery screen hit REBOOT after you have done CLEANUP.
