I do not know what an E-11 code is on that unit. But the fact you say no buttons are working gives me a clue that you may have a bad touch panel. Could be a Goofed up Microprocessor on the board. A Lot of units will give a code for a bad pad. If an air pocket in a pad colapses, the microwave thinks you are pushing and holding down a pad, so it will give a error code. An E-11 code may mean a bad touch panel on your unit. Try to unplug the unit, give it a minute and plug it back in, try to set the clock first and see what it does. When setting the clock try all of the number pads and see if they all respond. If one doesnt that mey be your bad pad. Or if a number comes up on its ownwithout pushing it, that pad could be shorted.
Kenmore microwaves are made by several manufacturers. The E-13 error may indicate a humidity sensor issue or a problem with the control board. It could also be an issue with the wiring between the sensor and the control board. Try unplugging (or turning off the circuit breaker to) the microwave for at least 30 seconds. This may reset the error. If the problem recurs, the sensor or the control board may need to be replaced. Microwaves can store an enormous amount of power in the capacitor and may be dangerous. Repairs are best done by a professional.
I hope this helps.
(The E-13 code diagnostics above apply to Samsung-made microwaves.)
It is a T1 maximum time error (oven did not preheat properly). usually caused by a failing thermistor/sensor, a bad seal, bad control circuit board or connector. Unless you are a really good electronics expert and have the test equipment for after-repairs microwave emission measurement, it has to be dealt by the service people.
Afternoon Sandra, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
error code SE indicates a shorted key on the keypad. Try unplugging the
microwave or flipping the household circuit breaker off first. Wait
approximately ten minutes and turn the unit back on. If the error code
continues to display, then I recommend contacting a professional to make
a precise diagnosis.
All i kind find is it's a sensor error. turn it off or unplug for a few seconds then switch on again. if the fault is persistent it will need an engineer to look at it. is it under it's 12 month guarantee still?
