Question about Televison & Video
Please look and see if there is a switch that slides underneath the dvd that locks the carriage so as not to damage the cd..
Do you have fresh batteries, as I recall the remote takes a button [computer motherboard [CMOS] type of battery.They don't last long.
What type of remote ? name & model # ? Did you drop it ?, Did it fall into h2o[water]?Sometimes the buttons stick and you can't really tell (until you drain the battery) Does the power [turn on & off] button work.?

Sorry, billbissell1::
Almost always, the eject button is on the right side, if the symbles, or markings are missing, then you must try every button., you should look for a symble of a diamond [triangle] facing up with an UNDERLINE under it. That should be the eject button.
sorry, and I hope that the suggestion works.,

Basically you can open and close the dvd player using "eject"

There isn't a way to open and close your dvd player with this remote. Here is what I would advise to you. If that remote is such a headache. Try this site:
http://www.universalremotesdirect.com/
They have lots of remotes that will work with your dvd player on there. Your remote has no features on it, to tell you the truth. =(
