I need to know how exactly can i connect the home theatre DVD player along wiith cable TV to my old RCA tv. I needed this information.

I have the same problem.

The audio out jacks in the back of the cable box can support up to 5.1 channels of audio to a home theater system. Take the DVD player and plug it into the TV with only the video cable and the audio cables into the theater syste. If you have and questions you can ask and if pictures are needed than I can post them.
