1> Disconnect all cords and cables from the back of the printer viz. power, USB/ethernet, FAX, etc.

2> Press and hold # and 6 together and connect the Power cord directly from the wall outlet at the back of the printer, when the printer turns ON release the # and 6.

3> The printer will initialise and settle down after some time,

> Clean the cartridges and printheads of the printer.

Also try to clean them manually........if this does not solves the problem then the printer has got some permanent hardware failure.

Transfer Belt Leaving Color Streaks on Pages

Try replacing color toner of the same color that are the lines. If the void was in the same place all of the time then I would say use a Q tip dipped in 90 proof alcohol and clean laser.

Printer is printing with horizontal blank lines

you did not indicate machine or how you are printing.

1- printing from glass or doc feeder?
did you check the small scanning glass on left side?
usually if there is a dot (pen dot or similar) it will come out as a line on docs, this is because the paper is moving while scanning, so it now sees the dot a s a line. Line up the paper w the glass you should see where the problem is comong from.

Blank line down left side of outgoing fax or feeder copy

The most common cause of blank (void) lines on a scanned document is from whiteout on the glass where the page is scanned when using the document feeder.
If there is a clear mylar sheet on the bottom of the document feeder, the whiteout may be there instead.

If there was dirt or a dark smudge on the glass (or mylar), it would show up as a black line, but whiteout is white, and shows up as a void (blank) line.

Ricoh cl3500N printing with blank streaks in middle of page and faded quality black printing and black ink blotches on sides

The voids and blotches can be a bad black pcu, the voids san also be toner on the glass slat obove the pcu,s there are 4 slats one for each color, on the pcu itself on the upper side is a narrow long opening, the glass slat is above this opening when the pcu is in the printer. It will take a flashlight to see any toner on the glass.

Horizontal lines

Depends on whether the "lines" are colored or just blank areas missing in the print . If it is blank areas , then most likely the laser scanner is dirty and the glass needs to be cleaned . If it is colored lines , then you most likely have a defective drum .
