Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

Open Question

The top screen of my DS Lite shows everything in negative colors.

The top screen of my DS Lite has inverted colors (Everything shows up in negative). It happened after the DS got wet because of a leaky water bottle (probably why), so how do I get it dry quickly? And is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

SOURCE: Nintendo DS Lite got water damaged

Heat the DS in an oven. REMOVE BATTERY as it may become heat damaged. The DS lite's max rated temperature is 50 degrees celcius or 122 degrees fahrenheit. So set the oven to 120-125. As oven thermostats are not known for accuracy put a reliable temperature sensor in with it. Something like a turkey temperature probe, just in case your oven is way off. Do not do this with a hairdryer as localised hot spots may reach a higher temperatures. Leave it in there for a while, its up to you, maybe 2 hours would be considered a good suggestion. If your feeling adventurous you could take it apart and put it in the oven in bits. It would obviously dry out much quicker. Providing the cicuits haven't corroded that should do the trick. Next step would be to disassemble the DS (tutorial video at and clean the motherboard with alcohol and a cotton bud.

note: you need a tri-wing screwdriver to disassemble the DS. you can get them on Ebay for a few quid.

SOURCE: how to open ds lite

There are two cross head screws under the rubber feet at the slot1 side, there are two tri-wing screws on the left (stylus side) and inside the battery cover (under the battery) there is a cross head screw at the top and a tri-wing screw at the bottom (in the corner).
The screen is held together by 4 screws under the ruber pads and then the outer case slides up about 5mm and then pulls clear.
Take great care when putting it all back together to line up the volume and power switches and plastics as the power switch breaks quite easily.

SOURCE: Nintendo DS not reading games

Looks like a defective Slot1. DS Games are using different pin-connectors in Slot1. There is a possibility that one of more connector-pins for using DS games are not making contact

Nintendo ds lite keeps shutting off

you probably have a power shortage when you move the screen. the only way to fix this is to open the ds, make sure everything is in the right place, and put it back together. i cant promise this will work, but it should.

Unfortunately this is coming to be known as the "Green Screen of Death"... It is likely one or more of the components that create the image on the screen are damaged. This usually occurs if there has been an impact -- such as being dropped or hit -- to the Nintendo DS's screens. Your Nintendo DS system will need to be repaired.

something is wrong with connection with the bottom and the top screen. If you have ever dropped it that could happen. If all is bad try a new battery.

you should use a crystal casing because every time you open the ds the wires get messed up or put some thing on the hinge so the ds hinge will not get loose.

DS lite screen

Hahahahaha that is how it works but if you go to the little DS at the bottom of the touch screen and tap it there will be a fixer manual use it and when you are done the system will shut off and just turn it on again and also the touch screen is the most important thing on your ds so keep it scratchless and clean! On some games the top screen is an important thing and somtimes it doesnt show anything
