I have a Roland SC 540, using ColorRIP, and attempting to setup Windows 7. Everything installed ok, I downloaded the newest ColorRIP and Profiles. Program opens, recognizes printer IP, everything seems normal.
When I try to open a file, the interpreter seems to load, finishes, but the file doesn't show on the preview window and I can't RIP or print.
I would like to change the RIP to something newer, but I have a few other employees with XP and they would like to keep it that way.

One of the most possible reason is related to Print Spooler service. Please check the "Print Spooler" service if its turned on. if its not you can turn it on. Here is the way to go Services screen
Try reinstall
Good Luck

Hi,
As described by you , there might be an issue with teh spooler service of your computer , u can follow the undermentioned steps that might help you.
key the commands
net stop spooler
2. In the run (Start Search for Vista) type : c:/windows/system32/spool/drivers…look for w32x86 folder.
3. Inside w32x86, there will be folders with the names 2 and 3 (one or more of these may be absent - not a problem)
delete all of the files and sub-folders in each of the 2 and 3 folders, but not the folders themselves. Inside 32x86, there may be other folders with names starting with "Hewlett-Packard", "hphp" or something else; delete these folders also.
4. In the run (Start Search for Vista) type : c:/windows/system32/spool/printers: delete any files there. By default, this is where the print spooler stores print files.
5. Open a Command Prompt window
key the commands
1. sc config spooler depend= RPCSS
(note the space after the = but not before)
2. net start spooler
Cleaning from Registry:
1. Take backup of registry:
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers
The spooler cleaning is complete.
now reinstall the printer .

Hi there,
I just recently fixed the problem for my LBP-1120, so I thought I'd share to make life a little eaier (in case you are still experiencing the same problem).
Step 1: Uninstall any previous attempts to give you a clean slate to work with.
Step 2: Go to http://driverscollection.com/?H=LBP-1120&By=Canon
You want to download the CAPT Driver R1.10 V1.10
(It's 1.61Mb)
Direct Link: http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=4185122914590a75abbdee86fed
Add the little cypher code, and click download.
Step 3: Run the file, it will extract to the same folder.
Step 4: Simply Start> Devices & Printers > Add Printer
Add Local Printer (I'm assuming USB001)
Have disk > Browse (Go to folder)
Alternatively, if your current Printer list shows "Canon Capt Printer" already, right click, go to Properties and try Updating the driver by using the folder/files you downloaded.
That should work now. Happy Printing! :-)

Hello,
Is this your first time to encounter this problem?
I had the same problem; the
unit was working and then just stopped working.
The software wouldn't let me uninstall so I could reinstall. The good news is I finally fixed this
problem. It was one of those instances where you try everything possible and
you don't know which fix actually worked. For what it's worth, here are
the steps I used.
I used the Windows System
Restore.....to reset my computer to an earlier time.
I then tried to reinstall Tri-capture with the Tri-capture audio interface plugged into the computers USB port. After the error message saying Tri-capture is connected, "please disconnect the device"... I unplugged the USB cable from the Tri-capture. Leaving the USB cable still connected to the computer. I tried the reinstall again and it worked.
