I watched a video on this PC, my guess is removing all 6 of the screws on the back should allow it to free up. It is a very beastly machine...why in the world would you want to open it :)

Did you remove the screws from both sides? You need to open both side panels and remove the screws. It may also be that the case uses a tool free slide system. Is there a latch you can pull, or push to set it free?

In this case the hard drive is mounted in a frame. Look for mounting screws that locks this frame to the computer case. When you remove this frame you can access the screws holding the hard drive.

C'ant open the case of my pc

Look in the back of the PC. there are often several easily accessible screws on the outside edge of the steel backing. Remove all the ones close to the edge and attempt to slide the side of the computer back, depending on the method they used to build it you should just have to pull back and up when it comes loose.

How to open gateway 300c desktop

There are several casings. You'll just have to pick one that fits your computer. Before you begin anything. Turn off your computer and remove the power cable. New Midtower Case 1 Look for a release handle on the top of the new midtower case. 2 Push the release handle inward. 3 Swing the case down from the top to open it. Microtower Case 1 Lay the computer down so that the left side is face up. 2 Locate two cover release levers on the back of the case toward the middle of the left side panel. 3 Squeeze the release levers together, then lift the panel up, swinging it away from the back of the case. Old Midtower Case 1 Lay the computer on its side, so that the left side panel is face up. 2 Remove any retaining screws along the left side of the back of the case that are holding the panel in place. These screws may be removed with your fingers. 3 Locate two release levers at the top and bottom of the back side of the case, and push them away from each other. 5 Swing the panel up and away from the case to open it while holding the release levers.

I have an Emachine ET1331g. How do I open the casing to reveal its inner contents?

The eMachines ET1331G desktop computer uses the eMachines NexGen 3 computer case.

Looking at the computer from the Front, the Left Side Panel removes.

Looking at the back you will be viewing the Right side.
There are two screws to remove, then the side panel is slid Back. (Towards the rear of the computer)

There is a raised protrusion in the middle of the Side Cover on the back. This is where your fingers go to pull back on the Side Panel.

There is one screw coming down from the top, on the edge of the Side Panel, and one screw coming up from the bottom.
(Philips head screws)
Remove them.

Slide the Side Panel back. It will only slide back so far, as there are tabs coming from the Side panel, into slots of the computer case.
Once it stops sliding back, take it straight out to the side. Lay the Side Panel aside.

Here is a photo detailing the back of the ET1331G from eMachines Support,

http://support.gateway.com/emachines/desktop/2009/emachines/et/ET1831/ET1831rv.shtml

The two screws on the Right side, as you are viewing the computer from the Rear, as shown here.

NOTE*

1) Computer UNPLUGGED from power

2) Observe Anti-Static Precautions BEFORE reaching inside the computer, and BEFORE handling hardware parts.

Anti-Static Precautions:
Your body carries Static electricity.

Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit) the hardware components in a computer.

Computer on a table, computer unplugged from power, computer case open.
TOUCH the metal frame of the open computer case to relieve your body of Static.

Should you leave your computer in the middle of working on it, be SURE to touch the metal frame again upon your return.

I need to change my power supply in my HP Pavilion a705w, and the screws are on the back, the 4 main to the supply, but I'm on the other side of the power supply and I can't get in there to change it. How...

There should be at least 4 more larger screws, maybe even "thumb screws", that will have to be removed as well. These screws hold the sides of the case on. Try removing those and sliding the sides back to open up the case

How difficult is it to replace a CD-ROM drive in a MacBook Pro?

It is very difficult to replace an Apple Superdrive and is not recommended to attempt to do so yourself unless you have pre-existing experience in doing so. Before resorting to such desperate measures, try testing your hardware with the Apple Hardware Test. You will find detailed instructions on how to use AHT here.

Want to open my maxtor one touch, any idea of the best way, and what is that small openning at the back

It's a pain but you can do it if you are careful. Remove 2 screws on back panel, then gently remove back panel. Now work on side/front panel (one piece) GENTLY. They have little plastic clips that will pop out if you are careful. The you can remove 2 more screws on side that hold metal halves together. Top comes of clamshell style. Good luck !
