I didn't forget about ya. I'm in the process of moving, and most everything is in boxes, and of course they aren't well labeled.

    Just keeping you updated.

Ok. Sounds like you have a nice little restoration going on!

I will check either tomorrow (it's already midnight here and was about to sign off) and see what I can dig up for you. If I have the correct one, I will scan them, and upload them to for you (that way you don't need adobe, etc), and you can just view / download / print them.

I will get back to you soon.

Which exact model is it? A DT? I have several old Yamaha service manuals outside, and I can probably be of some assistance. I know they didn't have a very complicated wiring system back then.

Which exact area are you looking for (lighting, ignition, etc)?

I need to add more cooling to Emachines T5212 - Electircal Diagram

The manufacturer is the best source for a diagram for your machine. However, most cooling fans are three prong plugs, some are two or four, and most motherboards label these connections right on the motherboard. So, if you look at the motherboard and find a three prong connection that says something like CPU_FAN, CHA_FAN1 (Chassis Fan 1), CHA_FAN2, etc you are good to go.

How To Clean Up Your Computer

Everything in life needs maintenance, and your computer is no different. Everything you do and see on your computer takes up space. Over time, heavy use can start to weigh it down and make your pc run slow. What can you do when your computer becomes cluttered and slow? That's easy! You can clean it up and reorganize the stored files for optimal performance.

The first thing to do to clean up your pc is to run "disk cleanup". Disk cleanup is a program that deletes clutter and creates more useable memory. If you are using Windows Xp, you can find disk clean up by clicking on "start", then "programs" and "accessories". Then slide over to "system tools" and click on "disk cleanup".

After clicking on disk cleanup, your computer will display a message that says it is calculating how much space can be recovered on your "C" drive. When it is finished, you will see a screen that shows choices of files in which to purge on the left and the "ok" button on the bottom. Click on every box that is available and choose ok to begin cleaning your disk.

This process can take a while, depending on how long it has been since the last time you cleaned your computer. When its finished, the program will have removed all unnecessary files to free more memory space. But we are not done yet! There is still one more program to run the complete the process and leave your computer running at its best. That program is called "disk defragmentor" and its found in the same place as disk cleanup.

To run disk defragmentor, click on "start", "programs" find "accessories" and then choose "system tools". Click on disk defragmentor and a window will open asking which drive you wish to defragmentate. Choose your "C" drive and then click "ok" or "defrag" at the bottom.

Disk defragmentor reorganizes files to bring all of your free space to the front of the drive where it is needed most.

Running both of these programs once every couple of weeks will keep your computer at its best.

Hello. I was cleaning the dust out of my computer fans and somehow the little blue & white, and red & white cables came out of where the attach to the motherboard. I am looking for a diagram so...

Looking at the board with the SATA connectors to the right and the backplate to the left. Look to the lower right corner of the board. You will see a group of two rows of pins(9pins with one missing) The pin that is missing is pin#10. The pins are numbered even on the pin#10 side, odd on the other. The Power Switch - Pin 2 is the Red wire/white is Pin 4. The Power Led - Pin 6 is blue pin 8 is white.
Shhhh! Must be a Gateway Secret.

How to install wiring harness

Step 1
The first thing that must be done is to strip the wires so that about a quarter of an inch is showing of the wire that comes out of your CD player's wires. Every single wire which is about 12 wires or so, must be stripped in order to proceed to the next step.

Step 2
After your wires are stripped. Take the new wire harness, the one I'm assuming you made sure is fit for your model of vehicle. You could buy these harnesses at BestBuy or your local car audio store. Take the harness and if you got a good quality harness it should be already stripped. If they're not already stripped, then strip them.

Step 3
Now here's the tricky part that's only tricky until you read this step.
Just match up the colors from your CD player's wires, to the wire harness's wires. That's right, it's as simple as that. Twist the wire from the CD player and the wire harness together about 4-7 times until the wire is secure.

Step 4
A crimp set includes little plastic bits that the 2 wires go into when twisted, then the wire put in the plastic bit and the plastic bit is then pushed down with force (crimped) to secure the wires from coming apart or touching other wires. A good note to remember is that if the blue wire from the CD player doesn't match a wire on the harness, then that is okay. Just crimp the blue wire by itself. The blue wire is used for aftermarket amplifiers to tell the amplifier to turn on when the radio is on.

Step 5
To avoid any incidents, unplug the negative (black) part of the battery on your car. Now plug the end piece of the wire harness (the plastic piece), into the car's radio input (car's plastic piece). If they 2 harnesses do not fit together than you have made a mistake and purchased the wrong harness

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

I removed the front panel of my computer....i also (without thinking)removed the wiring harness from the motherboard. the problem is,the wiring harness is seperated into three harnesses amd i dont know...

Nothing to worry. Wirings will be written with positions to plug in to motherboard. Refer to *********** guide and it will help you to plug in those loose cables into right position. However, you will find cables written with HDD, Reset, etc, and in motherboard also there will be same inscriptions and you have to place proper cable to proper place.
Readings may look like one in the link

Hope this helps. Having problem, do let me know your motherboard details and I will try to find out the correct manual

The green plastic harness that supports the power button on the front bezel of the Dell Optiplex 170L is broken. I am looking for several of these parts so that we can repair in our office.

Unfortunately the only way to get a replacement bezel for a Dell desktop is to contact technical support. If I remember correctly the cost is about 30 bucks for the kit unless youre under the service warranty still than it is free. Don't quote me on the price I'm going off of memory from about 2 years ago when I worked there so the price may have changed.
