You have cracked your LCD screen (the screen that displays the picture). The glass on top of it is called a Digitizer Screen (the screen that recognizes your finger). This is a fixable problem, but the cost to repair will depend on the phone, insurance or lack of, and who you get to repair it for you....hope this helps you some.

Try a new needle, but I am afraid that it will need service and that usually costs more to fix than you paid for the machine. If, this is true, and she really wants to sew, go to a place that sells machines and gives lessons. She will treasure it the rest of her life. I speak from experience, my granddaughter was 8 years old, and I bought her one of those types and it really discouraged her because there was always a problem. I bit the bullit and went to JoAnn Fabrics and bought her a Singer, they gave her lessons on her machine and answered any questions. Then I signed up for some classes at JoAnn's and now she sews like a little pro, makes doll clothes and she and her sister design some of their own clothes and embellish some of their own. (I think project runway inspired them). Their mom is so proud of them because she cannot sew a stitch. She is banned from their machines, lol. By the way, she is 10 now and her sister is 12 and they formed a little sewing club with their friends and have fashion shows. It was the best money I ever spent and do not regret my decision to buy the right machine. It may cost a little more to begin with but the enjoyment is priceless.

You will have to replace the digitizer on that, Parts are not available so you will have to conatct palm service center. Unless you got insurance then you can call you carrier and get it replaced.

replace the phone, that is symptomatic of a phone that has a compression crack, (sat down it was in the pocket, shut too tight, etc) There is no repair, but if you have the insurance it is covered as damage.

when you power up press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode .
Tehn go to control panel and then dispaly property then change screen resolution to 1024*768
then apply and ok.

Absolutely, it will work fine as long as it's out of the same model. I recommend Ebay, and use Ebay for most of the replacement parts for machines that come through my shop. I beleive on these any screen from the 5000 series will work as long as it has the same deminsoins, ie..15.4 inch, 14 inch wide screen, etc...

it is best that you don't....take the phone to a mobile repair shop and have them fix it for you.
