Your solution to my problem(Methodical)

Hi Benimur
Thank you for your help with regards to my problem.
Changed the LCD TV as it was still under warranty.
Brought the new one home to find out that the remote did not work!
This time I fixed myself, the connector to the remote sensor in the front of the LCD TV PCB was hanging half out of the socket.
Kind regards
Methodical

Sir check the lamp of your projection if already damage, if damage replace the lamp and reset also the lamp hour meter. Remove the screws to open the panel labeled "lamp" on the back of the Sony TV. Remove the screws that hold the lamp in place inside the TV. Pull the lamp out. Let me know what is your observation to the lamp so I can guide you. Good day and best regards.

My new Samsung flat panel lcd tv often has a horizontal line continually moving vertically and also a groaning noise; this occurs especially when a set of lights (close to tv) with energy-saving bulbs and...

Hi,

At best described, your unit is getting RFI (radio frequency interference) or basic electrical noise. Such could be brought about by other electronic devices physically near the Samsung flat panel LCD TV which may include (but not be limited to wireless phones, electronic ballast of florescent lamps, VCR/DVD/Gaming consoles with Channel 3/4 outputs.

Possible corrective actions:
  • the simplest, move such devices away;
  • try using a power filtered strip;
  • try plugging other devices in another wall outlet.
The technically correct procedure would be to improve the shielding of all these devices including the Samsung but that would be beyond normal user actions. Additionally, it should have been addressed in the manufacturer's design in the first place.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Teac lcd tv / dvd combo modle lcdv1501m the problem is it will not play dvd it plays cd ok every else seem fine could you give me some ideas please

Hi,

Initially, pls try using a CD lens cleaner similar to those used in computer CD ROMs. it is normally readily available from most computer shoppes. The idea is to clean the laser pickup/eye/lens. Should cleaning be not corrective, it may be necessary to open the unit for a look & see or manual cleaning the insides.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

HITACHI LCD

Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Offhand without a specific model number or better yet a chassis number, I would be guessing that the blue being absent makes the green too pronounced. This being so on an LCD projection made by Hitachi would indicate probable fault with the light engine. You may want to reference this post that indicates Hitachi would supply the part for free. Incidentally, another post outlined how a user performed a DIY (do-it-yourself) workaround.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back the model number or chassis number, how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a sony vaio lab top and a vga in to rca cable and a magnavow 32inch hdtv moldel 37mf33id and i can't get it to work togethere.help please?

Hi,

Assuming that the VGA to RCA cable/adapter is functioning correctly, then what might be required are:
  • initially lower the screen resolution of the Sony Vaio laptop to the lowest possible;
  • press F? key to cycle on the display choices, LCD, LCD+TV and TV only. The F? key would be the one with the small monitor icon.
Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Speakers for home thearter

Hi dogbert007,

Luckily, shielding your TV from the magnetic field produced by audio components is necessary due to the technology in a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) display. If you have an LCD television, you should not have to worry about placing them within a few feet as you plan.

Just puchased grundig LCD TV,model glcd2205whtdv, tuned the tv stations in okay. But every 3 minutes the LCD display goes off, sound is still there. Use the remote to turn unit off then turn on again,...

Hi,

Initially it would appear that you have either a LCD screen problem or your CCF Lamps goes out. Of the two I would suspect more the CCF Lamp which could be the lamp themselves, the inverter that powers the lamps or the logic circuitry that deactivates the lamp.

Additionally, this would be heat related or even possibly a loose connection somewhere in amongst the areas above mentioned.

Considering that the unit is new and presumably under warranty, perhaps your best bet would be to call it in for service by their authorized service personnel. Any diagnostic/corrective action would require that the back of the unit be opened for a look & see which of course would void your warranty.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
