You can find your Belkin WEP key on its bottom or back side, Normally all other routers are coming without password, but belkin asks its physical address has its WEP password,
you can change it's password and SSID by login in through internet explorer, both the username and password of router can find on it's backside, then follow some easy steps to change SSID (wireless name) and wireless password (WEP) min 8 charectors,
please don't try to change your username and password provided by your Network provider if are not a professional, (connection may lost)
rate if you succeeded
Connect your router to computer with lan cable then you can access it with default link

Click on wireless then wireless security WEP key note down the code it is your password to connect wireless.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.
The easiest way is to login to your router and check under the Wireless security tab. If you are unable to connect to your router as you lost your WEP then the best way would be to reset your router and create a new one.
Open Internet Explorer & in the URL:// bar type: 192.168.1.1 or dslrouter.
Select Wireless and then select Security from the Configuration menu.
If you use WPA-PSK or WEP wireless security, you must configure your computer’s wireless adapter for the security code that you use.
At the Wireless Security drop-down menu, select the desired security option
WEP: Selecting this will enable you to set up WEP security on the VersaLink. The AP card supports 64-bit, 128-bit, or 256-bit WEP encryption. If WEP is selected, any station can connect to the AP (as long as its SSID matches the AP SSID). If wireless security is disabled, the risk of someone nearby accessing the AP is maximized
type in the desired WEP Password....do not forget to save...
The WEP and WAP key is configured in the wireless router settings, you create the WAP encryption key and use this key to configure the wireless card in your computer. WEP is not a very strong encryption key compared with WAP and WAP2, I suggest you use WAP2 if possible. You can create the encryption key with alpha and or numeric keys, if you want to use words or phrases to create the encryption key then use the PASSPHRASE.
your wep key should be on the equiptment like the router on the bottom if not, make a new wep key if u have a pc go in to the settings of the router enable wireless and add ur own wep key or is the wep already on a pc and ur connecting to it from ur console then input manualy i dont know if wireless is anygood for a ps but try wired see if that is more helpfull
The wep key has to be created on the router so if you didn't set it up then you need to ask the person who did what it is. Assuming that it is your router and you lost or forgot the key then you can get into the router with a computer that is hardwired to the router. So you plug your laptop into the router and open up internet explorer. In the address bar you need to put in the router's address (Ex: linksys is 192.168.1.1) this will pull up the router menu default login is admin and password admin or root. (if these have been changed then you can push in the reset button on the back but this will wipe out everything and you'll have to set it up again, not preferable.) If you have another router then you can get online on another computer and look these default codes up for your router. If these work then you are in the menu and you can go to security section and create a new wep (or take it off completely again not preferable) make sure to save the changes you have made before getting out of the menu and write down the wep you created or save it in a word doc. Now you can unhook your laptop and try to connect wirelessly when it asks for a wep put in the key you created, reenter it and hit connect and you should be good to go.
you dont find or you dont generate WEP key in your D-link my friend :-)
if you are using windows operating system ...
go to netwrork settings
2) wireless network
3)there you need to cerate new connection if you dont have one already
4) after creating go to properties of that wireless network and use one of the option there to generate the WEP
5) that must me used both in your windows and in your D-link
that means type that wep key that you have in your windows in your d-link
Hope it solves ...;-p
The WEP code is whatever you make it when you set up the wireless connection. If you have lost this key. It is best to use the manual reset located on your wireless router. Will require a small point like a paperclip. Then you will have to access the router and set up the wireless internet over again. Then you can secure it with a new WEP key. If you need further assistance please ask me. Thanks, Lee
