Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number? .......... Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines......... The model number on top load washers is usually found by lifting the lid and looking above the tub. The Fixya numbers are Stock Numbers. Since basic top load direct drive, top load electronic and front load washers are very different, the actual Model Numbers are necessary to correctly diagnose the problem. WILL IT SPIN???? CAN YOU HEAR THE MOTOR??? DO YOU HEAR / SMELL ANYTHING UNUSUAL??? IT SOUNDS LIKE A CLOGGED PUMP, HOSE OR TUB OUTLET BUT WITHOUT KNOWING THE MODEL NUMBER, I'D HESITATE TO TRY TO GIVE A SOLUTION YET.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.25062500&pathTaken=partSearch

Next, see the following for how to remove the cabinet and get to the pump.

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=134&osCsid=2e6a5f8005d1999210755936fc7d072e

I'd pull the pump and check inside for any blockage. I'd also pull and check the hoses as well as the port in the tub that connects the hose to the pump.

Washer will not cycle

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washer is not spinning during the drain/spin cycle...so the clothes are really wet when its finished

the washer will not spin if there is still water in it. the issue may be with the pump, I would look at the dranage see how it is flowing, make sure there is no restriction there, then I would look at the pump take it off have a good clean out of it.

hope that helps a little

Washed a load of floor rugs now washer will not drain

sorry but one rug is ample for any machine, but the load weight alone is far to much on the machine,i have been in a testing factory and seen the things people put in machines and it would shock you,but back to your presant problem?basicly the whole dranage system is full of heavy dirt and needs cleaned badly.Try putting two dishwasher tablets through machine and see what happens but i must say i wouldnt have high hopes,i would think lower dranage pipes are going to be cleaned.if you want my help come back to me.adrian,,,,,,,

My washer will not drain . I washed bathroom rugs that fell apart leaving excess fibers that I beleive plugged up the holes that allows drainage. A few gallons of water is still sitting in my washer and...

If your washer does not drain you need to check this parts.
  1. Inspect the drain hose for kinks
  2. Test the timer control
  3. Test the lid switch(some models)
  4. Inspect the water pump
  5. Inspect the drive belt(belt drive only)
  6. Inspect the motor coupler
If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess. If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.

Whirlpool Washer - Imperial Series Quiet Wash 2

your washers drain hose is too far down the drain pipe which is causing a siphoning action pull the washers drain hose out pipe some you should be able to hear water dropping into the pipe the reason it only happens in the rinse cycle is because the water from wash is being drained and before the water vacuum is broken the rinse water comes in causing it to keep draining

Calypso - water goes straight to drain hose-not drum

the hose may still be filled from last cycle. try to put machine in final spin mode where all water from previous wash will be spun out the drain hose. once a siphon is started it can only be stopped by introducing air into the drain hose.
