Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
I have purchased a used, unlocked T-Mobile Pearl and when I put my AT&T SIM in the phone, it will not lock onto the AT&T network. The phone finds the network, connects and then goes back to no network found. The phone continues to search and find the network tehn drop it again.
How do I fix this?
AT&T devices are integrated software and settings necessary to operate on the network. If GPRS attach is not an issue for you then this is likely the problem.
You could go through your settings, such as network provider, connectivity, etc with settings that come default with AT&T devices, however, AT&T will not support an unlocked phone regardless of previous provider. Find someone with same phone if possible and AT&T as provider, try to copy settings, but typically there are some that are view only and uneditable. You could also go to blackberry.com and download the latest version of handheld software onto the device.
If that doesn't work and a new sim doesn't alleviate problem, you are likely out of luck. No one really supports an unlocked phone.
