Question about Toshiba Televison & Video
Hello, Try loading a VHS tape if the TV is a combination, it should go through all the mechanical motions if the power supply circuit is functioning, if it doesn't that is the first area I would suspect, another circuit that could cause a dead TV is the deflection circuit, usually a shorted horizontal ot transistor or horizontal out transformer and sometimes both units go out. Again depending on the model you could be looking at a repair around the 80 dollar amount plus defective parts, but I always suggest calling a TV shop to get an estimation of what the labor charges run before dropping the unit in for inspection. Thanks!
