Sounds like if drain cleaner dident work and a snake the nexst step will have to be to put the drain rod /snake in to were it stops , open up cut pipe and fix blockage. use 2 cimberly 110 socket strait cuplers to fix pyp again. bt might want to get a plumber in, and remind the plumber that all 2nd story drainage must have an access i and that he must install a i.e.

the oder opsion is to get the exsperts in . they will *** with rods that have electrick blades on the front end. that will surly clean ur suer line and fix toilet. bt with option 1 u will have prevension and access to ur pipe for if it cloggs up in the future

Plz vote for my advise. and good luck

Try using a Drain cleaner first, then go for the big guns, such as a drain snake.

I have tried just about everything to clean the clog in my sink. Do you have any recommendations?

If you have exhausted all options like Drain-O and caustic soda I would suggest trying to snake the clock out. First try with a long wire; you can buy one at any hardware store. If you snake the wire around the pipes and can feel the clog but still can't push it out you will need to do something a little more drastic! Head back to the hardware store and buy a thin but sturdy rubber hose. I don't mean the kind for the garden. They should have something cheap that is just hollow rubber tube. Because this is more substantial, you should be able to push the clog out. If pushing alone doesn't work, find someone with pretty good lung capacity to try forcing it out with elbow grease and fast breath. Good luck!

Would a vent problem cause the water to back up in the tub and cause the toliet to bubble?

A vent would cause an odor problem but not a back up problem. There should be a clean out between the house and septic tank, if it is full the blockage is down the line, if its dry the blockage is in the house.

Sewer smell in house since installing the new toliet and the toliet gurgles when the washing machine is on. It started with the new toliet now the gurgling and smell is also present in another bathroom.

It sounds like a vent problem.
On top of each house is a vent stack.
There should be a vent stack above each toilet, and above kitchen sink.
Look for pipes sticking out of roof.
These pipes are open to the sewer line.
When you run a column of water down a drain, the vent stack lets air flow in front of and behind the column of water.
This air flow prevents the gurgling sound.
The gurgling sound is the drain water pushing air in front of it because of a clogged vent.
If you have a two story house, there are vents that run between floors to prevent the air flow from gurgling or bubbling sewer air into each drain as water column moves down pipe.

Look for bird nest over vent pipe on top of house.
Run a snake down into pipe from roof and see if the is a stoppage.
You many need to call plumber to track down each vent and the cause.
For example if there are quick-vents installed inside a wall and the quick vent is no longer working.

You can also take advantage of fixya phone support.
Fixya expert will walk you through the steps for a price.

Sewer backup

Do not put that in the drain in the basement. Use a sewer snake cleaner to fix the problem. Drain cleaner is very corrosive and can burn your skin. If it doesn't work, you will have to work around the drain cleaner.

SUPER clogged drains

About all you could do is rent an electric snake and clear the main drain. The shower drain line (if you follow it) may also have a port to use a snake.

Good luck!
